I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood. When I made the offer to have a tech try to import the journals into the blogs, I didn't see any interest in that. Most people said no and wanted to look for another option. At this point, the best we can do is to have a tech export entries to a text file which will be done for anyone that wants them upon closing the blogs.
I am not sure if I care whether my old journals get put somewhere for me....but I would really like somehow to be notified of my blogroll friends updates on their blogs.... On the theme I am using, I don't even get the shortened version of updates. Is there someway to do this?

When I made the offer to have a tech try to import the journals into the blogs, I didn't see any interest in that. Most people said no and wanted to look for another option. At this point, the best we can do is to have a tech export entries to a text file which will be done for anyone that wants them upon closing the blogs.
It was passed on to tech, who are working on some other things first. Hopefully it will be taken care of soon. It's all still there waiting
