I just have the regular one.

Our sofa, I do the arms and the bottom cushions (where most of the spots are) - today I did the back cushions as well.

With a carpet, it works for spot cleaning - with the microsuede, I would suggest doing the entire thing (or at least the entire top - especially the chaise that doesn't have any breaks)

It doesn't leave it too wet. We don't sit on it for a few hours, though. I put the cushions outside on a towel so they get the breeze and it takes a couple hours for them to fully dry. It definitely looks like a new sofa now.

Thanks for the info zeff! I am going to definitely try one of them... I think I will buy it from Walmart because they never hassle about returns just in case I don't like it or get a bad one... I have seen many mixed reviews of them online!

I can't believe it is still snowing! We had some freezing rain last night so I decided to work from home today. We've had light snow off and on all day today and everything looks so wintery covered in snow. It's unusual that we are still below freezing this late in the day. It's not enough to close the schools or make a snowman but it looks pretty. Kiko - I hope you didnt' have any trouble driving to work this morning. I know there were a lot of accidents.

Sorry -- no time for private addresses here. Just found out at work I might get laid off come Jan 15th.

I've resisted a free breakfast this morning, brownies and cookies and candy this afternoon. I am munching on my 7 layer dip and veggies right now. A coworker (who happens to be diabetic and overweight) just came over and told me I make her sick with all the healthy stuff.

Ughhhh

It is snowing here so hard!!! We are supposed to get 3-6"... it started a few hours ago and keeps getting worse. They haven't even made the first attempt to start cleaning the streets here. Getting DS from school was an adventure. I love the snow, I think it is so pretty, but DH is driving home from Wisconsin. He got a head start this afternoon, but I am afraid he is still too far from home. At this rate, he'll be lucky to get home by 6pm. I can't reach him on his cell, he is probably talking work stuff now, but I would like to know where he is!!

Maybe i am being ugly here, but maybe just maybe it should be her making you sick having diabetes and being overweight and not trying to do anything about it. and insulting you for eating healthy-when she COULD do it if she wanted to... well, that is just wrong!

ok, sorry \rant

And so sorry to hear about the possibility of a layoff... seems its all too much happening lately..

Jenski- stay warm! I wish it would snow here instead of rain!!! when its this nippy I would just rather have the snow than rain! brr

Barb- enjoy the beauty of it, especially if it isn't impairing anything!

Well, My laziness attacked fiercly today and I just tracked my books and looks like they just left Memphis yesterday so doubt I will be getting them tonight... oh well... time to go switch out the wash and clean up a bit

Not mean at all Rikki -- I was thinking the same thing. She's a big BIATCH anyway and I don't care for her. I laugh her comments off to keep the peace (we're on the same team and share a cubicle area).

I just told her it was the SBD that I was doing and that it's good for diabetics

Ugh, we're having some UGLY weather! It started out as sleet, then changed to ice pellets, then back to sleet, and now it's been snowing for the past few hours. I was prepared to spend the night at Cindy's, but I was able to leave just before the roads completely iced up. Whew! I hate driving in that stuff. Now that I'm safely home, I can admire how pretty it looks.

Jenne, that's a shame about the possible layoff. You gave a tactful answer to that rude co-worker, good for you!

Jenski, I hope your DH made it home safely tonight!

Kim, I'm keeping your GPs in my prayers. I hope they're both doing better now.

Pam, it's good to see you joining us! I'm disappointed with the direction The Biggest Loser has taken, they've totally lost focus on teaching people the proper way to lose weight. I doubt if I'll watch the next season, but my vote is 100% for Michelle, too. She's the only one who is deserving of winning.

Good evening chickies
Cottage - glad you are home now.
Kim - hoping GP are better, it was be hard having them both sick at the same time.
Jenne - she sounds like she is jealous. Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the job front.
Zeff - are you sure you will last till the 29th. The surge of energy you have might be signalling something. I know when I was expecting my first one I was cleaning for a couple of days like mad and then baked this huge cheescake when my labour pains began and wouldn't call DH at work until it was done.
Me - very busy day, cleaned the down stairs of the house thoroughly and will do the bedrooms and basement before the weekend. Tonight I hope to bake some cookies. This year I am baking only one patch of the usual favourite cookie and trying about four new recipes.
Pretty good on plan day today.
Sophie
p.s. we are expecting bad weather overnight.

Rikki - I bought mine from Walmart as well...I think I paid just under $70 for it. Definitely a great investment for our family.

Barb - I can't believe it is still snowing there! It's cold and wet here but going to get warm again tomorrow. I wish the weather would make up its mind! Be safe driving on those wintery roads.

Jenne- sorry to hear about the possible job loss. Also, about the overweight co-worker, it always seems like it is the unhealthy people that are the most critical of healthy lifestyles....jealous possibly?

Cottage - glad you got home safely. Driving in that is bad!

Sophie - I hope I last until the 29th! I think that is why I have been doing so much, because I want to have it all done by the time the baby is born. Unfortunately babies don't care about schedules....selfish little buggers
I'm getting so impossibly excited, though! Have fun with your cookies!

Jen - I hope DH gets home safely!

-
DH is making dinner tonight....it's just leftovers, but it is the thought that counts. He also volunteered to take care of the dishes afterwards...lovely man he is

It is cold and rainy...and I just cannot stay warm! I just took a hot shower and put on my most favorite cashmere socks - it seems to have helped. I think I'll make some special stove top hot chocolate tonight with some dark chocolate I have. It seems like the perfect night.

Brian was so excited to come home and make a snowman even if it was only 6 inches tall. He took pictures but it looks like they went in the camera memory rather than the memory card so I'm not sure how to get them out.

Since I've been MIA, you all know what I have to say.

Moo.

There, I said it. I had my Mary Kay Grand Opening on Sunday so there were all kinds of yummies there, and then today a customer brought a huge variety tray from Pease's for me and my assistant.

Double moo.

I'm afraid to weigh, but I don't have a facial scheduled for tomorrow night, so if the weather improves, I may run and actually (gasp) work out!

I've been swamped. I'm really successful at Mary Kay. Yes, I'm completely shocked. I've just been super busy, almost every night of the week, but it's all going to pay off in a couple of months when I can quit retail and just work a couple of nights a week. I'm SOOOOO ready!

So that's really all that's up with me. Moo, and Mary Kay.

Hope all is well with you!!!!

What a bad night! Dh got home safely, and just in time!
I was making spag squash in the microwave. When I went to take it out, the saran slipped and all the hot steam burned my hand. I instantly went to my knees it was so bad! I put my hand in ice water and took off my rings. My fingers swelled and the pain was so bad! DH went to the pharamacy and they loaded him up with pads, anti-viral cream, burn spray, etc. We sprayed my hand, but it just kept getting worse. They have a nurse there, but I had to go in so she could look at it. Luckily it is a 5 minute drive. The streets were so bad, I didn't want to go anywhere tonight. She gave me a Rx for burn cream. It made it feel much better. If it wasn't across my knuckles it probably wouldn't be so bad. I think I am in for a long night. The pain comes and goes. The cream is helping. I am wrapped like a mummy. Typing with one hand stinks!!! This night needs to end. Resisting my urge for chocolate!!

OH, you poor thing Jen! Man, steam burns like that are the worst! I remember I steamed something in a bowl one time and made the mistake of curling my knuckles around it to pull it off... Blisters on your neckles are never, ever a good thing. I totally feel your pain... BUT, resist the chocolate! go for a glass of wine instead

SO, a little too late but let me tell you how I cook spaghetti squash in the microwave- without saran wrap! uch
I put a pyrex dish with about a 1/2" of water in the bottom, half and scrape the seeds out of the squash, put face down and poke many holes in the skin... I cook one half at a time for 15 minutes... no steam to burn you when done... but I do wait a couple minutes to take the pan out of the microwave...

I'm with Rikki, Jen....wine will dull the pain. Wine and a pain reliever. Too bad the nurse didn't give you a scrip for a pain killer as well. Hope your fingers feel better tomorrow. There isn't much worse than a steam burn.
