Stnessa: don't worry about the skim milk, I don't do low-fat, fat free anything. I know its more calories but from what I have studied this lowfat stuff is not good for you. IMO the more man has had his hands on it the less healthier it is. I buy full fat yogurt, cottage cheese, milk (I try to get organic most of the time, hopefully soon we will have our fresh raw goat milk again which is even better) I am more comfortable feeding my kids this also knowing that they need the fat for their developing brains. I know many will disagree with this but just my 2cents
Your actually dead on with this.....due to all the chemicals and high fructose corn syrup and using plastic containers and such.....there has been a dramatic increase in cancers and other things such as children hitting puberty at much earlier ages....these things really mess with our hormones and stuff like that...but you can usually reverse the effects of them if you catch it in time....

I just take what I can afford.....skim is cheaper...LOL! I figure I can die from the chemicals and stuff or from being fat....LOL

Thanks Mel. Joe just got on board with the baby-making game. For some unknown reason, he wanted to wait until wee were married. Right now I'm due in a week, and let me tell you the wait is KILLING ME! I don't know why God decided to have early pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms to be the same! It's FRUSTRATING! I'm exhuasted, feel bloated, a little crampy (but not like during TOM), my breasts are sore... so it could be eitehr way! UGH!

I have decided though to eat like I am pregnant - not the "I'm eating for 2, so I can have 2 pices of cake" philosophy - but the eating healthier then normal, upping the water, doing the best I can attitude. I really really want a little one around though! Hunter is almost 7! It's time!!!

Melissa: about your sandwich thingy.. I do the same but load with lettuce or cucumbers too and it makes it a bigger meal with like barely a calorie difference!

My breakfast was the above mentioned oatmeal i listed forEVER. but lately I have been drinking low sugar/fat soy milk and protien powder shake with someground flax and a large naval orange and a liter of water. I have recently cut out meat.. but have upped theprotien in other ways. I used to love chicken but i ate it for a year straight and now or soe reason i can't even look at it.. lol

Ruth.. thanks so much for the oatmeal soaking info! i will def do that next time!

I really like this challenge idea!
Melissa- You can totally see that your going to be a teacher lol.

Well heres my input to the challenge:
I eat all the time, even when im not hungry. I get bored and I think im hungry. Im an emotional eater too. I am totally addicted to sweets, I dont think I go a day without eating something sweet. I did however get kudos bars that are only 100 calories and they taste like a candy bar. I like to eat everytime I watch tv or a movie, its become a habit. Food is comforting to me. If I dont eat like I normally do and I start to actually FEEL hungry, it makes me feel kind of sick. I have the worst relationship with food. I have always ate alot, ask melissa, hahaha.
I used to be really skinny and in the past 5 yrs, I have gained 50 pds. For nothing really.
Another problem I have is I sleep allll the time. I dont get up like normal people do. I dont work until 4pm so I sleep late.
For instance, I woke up at 1pm today, I slept a total of 12 hours. I havent ate yet, im really not hungry but I should go eat because waiting long to eat is gonna make me even hungrier later and its not good for the metabolism. I believe thats one reason I have gained so much weight. I used to work in the morning so I got up early and went to work and now I sleep all day and dont eat til 12.
I also am a night eater, I make myself belive that I sleep better if I eat before bed. I have major food problems. Id love to get it worked out.

Eny- Baby dust for you tooo *************

Terapet- Yeah, we gotta get ahold of this food thing.

Faux- Congrats on your weight loss. What does flaxseed taste like?

Heather: flaxseed doesnt really have much taste. Kind of nutty, seeding i guess. the texture of the ground stuff is umm well like ground seeds...? ehehe it adds a lot of texture to things.. more girth if you will.. hehe. When i put in shakes and stuff.. its not smooth or anything .. kind gotta chew it up. KInd of aquired in shakes i think. but sooo good for you!!!! i love it
