Sick. Note trend toward "soft" foods.

B - Honeydew melon
S - Sugarfree Jello
L - Leftovers - Tilapia, tabbouleh, and garlic lemon green beans
S - Progresso Light Soup
S - Protein Shake
D - Penne w/ roasted veggies, sundried tomato flavored ground chicken patties, tomato sauce
S - NSA Neopolitan Cone

I am going to try to do some yoga and walk to the store. Yesterday, though, I did 30 min of yoga and it was EXHAUSTING, so we'll see.

Sorry you're sick, Amanda.

Yesterday was OP - yay! Though I ended up working late so one of the other gals could take her puppy - who had eaten something bad and was feeling very poorly - to the vet. So no gym.

B - cheerios with 1% milk, 1/2 peach, toast with pb
L - turkey sandwich on whole wheat, lettuce, tomato
D - grilled chicken or pork, spinach, brown rice
Ss - yogurt, cherries

And now I'm off to have my teeth cleaned.....

POP today. I'm heading to bed now before I eat anything else and ruin it. Here's how it worked out:

B: FF plain Greek yogurt with High Fiber Cereal and raspberries
S: Decaf coffee with FF half and half and SF Torani
L: Zucchini stuffed with ground turkey/veggie mixture; various pickles, 4 sesame snack sticks; small plum
S: multi-grain hot cereal with FF cream cheese
S: FF cottage cheese mixed with FF plain Greek yogurt, Fiber One muffin with FF cream cheese
D: Moroccan Chickpea Chili with Chicken (say that ten times fast!); green salad
S: FF SF pudding with bananas; decaf tea with FF half and half and SF Torani

It all came in at about 1400 calories (15% fat, 35% protein, 50% carbs). Could be lower on the carbs and higher on fat and protein, but I'll take it.

Exercise was 20 min intervals on the treadmill, 5 min run at 7.5 mph, one hour stretching class, one hour circuit training class. Not all a once, mind you--circuit training in the evening, the rest of it in the morning. And does a stretching class really even count as exercise?

Hope you're feeling better Amanda.

Yesterday was POP for me calorie wise, not food. I was cooking for the weekend, for my at HOME weekend that is. I made lots of roasted veggies. And I do mean lots. Peppers, mushroom, spinach, and onion. To go along with grilled chicken. Then I made tons of roasted cauliflower, brussel sprouts, carrots and string beans. Being the grazer/nosher that I am, I picked a heck of a lot as I was making it. So, I had to switch out some foods. It all came within my allotment though. So all is good .

Have a GREAT day everyone.

Amanda, I hope you're feeling better.

Robin, all your healthy roasted veggies for the weekend sound delicious!

Yesterday's calories came in a little high (1700). On the one hand I'm glad it's the weekend, b/c who doesn't love sleeping in and all, but I'm dreading it b/c I always fall so far off my plan. Weekend "Operation: stay OP!" begins today!

It's a friend/co-worker's birthday today, so my first 3 hurdles will be 1) not eating cake, 2) going to happy hour w/ the bday girl & coworkers and not drinking any calories, or the most challenging 3) politely extracting myself after 1 non-alcoholic drink to get to the gym in time to work out (gym closes at 8:00).

Friday's plan:
B - 1 c. Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal, 1 c. sk milk, coffee
S - 1 c. blueberries
L - 1 slice whole wheat bread, 3 oz. lean deli ham, lettuce & mustard, 1 c. carrots + 1 c. celery, 1/4 c. Feta & Spinach dip
Snacks throughout the day - 1 oz. raw almonds, 1 oz. string cheese, apricot
power through happy hour snack - 6 oz. lt yogurt, apricot
gym - weightlifting - legs (light) and core/abs, some elliptical?
D - pork chops (already marinating), green beans sauteed with ginger, garlic, and a touch EVOO - I can get this on the table fast b/c I will get home late!
sf ff chocolate pudding popsicle?
Cal: 1500

Since I'm not online during the weekends I'm trying to plan ahead a bit better:
Sat's plan:
B - wh wh toast w/ apple butter, skim milk, coffee
S - sm banana
L - 1 slice whole wheat bread, 3 oz. lean deli ham, lettuce & mustard, 1 c. carrots + 1 c. celery, 1/4 c. Feta & Spinach dip
S's - yogurt or string cheese, apricot, nuts?
D - leftovers from Thursday - turkey meatballs & pasta, salad

Sun:
B - wh wh toast w/ apple butter, skim milk, coffee
S - sm banana
L - 1 slice whole wheat bread, 3 oz. lean deli ham, lettuce & mustard, 1 c. carrots + 1 c. celery, 1/4 c. Feta & Spinach dip
S's - yogurt, apricot, nuts?
D - homemade pizza night, salad

Depending on BF and my activities, one day I will try to go for a long bike ride and one day will be a total rest day.

Still sick (last night - worst night ever. I get Benign Positional Vertigo whenever I get head colds or the flu, so last night, I literally flipped over in bed (that's it, I flipped over), at which point the room started spinning like I was drunk and I ended up horribly sick. From moving my head!

I think that rules out yoga for today...if I tried to go inverted, I think I might fall over.

B - Protein shake w/ soy milk and raspberries (mmm, cold)
S - Honeydew
L - Leftover - roasted veggie pasta w. sundried tomato flavored ground chicken crumbles
S - Yogurt
D - Ginger Garlic Chicken Stirfry over brown and wild rice
S - NSA Neopolitan Ice Cream cone

E - 30 min yoga? We'll see if I can do it without getting dizzy.

Oh gosh, Amanda, I know how that feels - had a few months a few years ago where I'd get vertigo spontaneously, like just sitting at my desk and moving my head. Weird, and very scary. The first time I thought we were having an earthquake, but no one around me did. Stay upright!

Yesterday ended up alright calorie-wise, though both lunch and dinner foods got switched out. Glad I was able to make good substitutions.

B - cheerios with 1% milk, strawberries, ww toast w/pb (got up late and this was fast)
L - ? Fridays I usually go out with 2 GFs, but one is sick and I've not heard from the other, so I may be on my own, in which case it'll be a turkey sandwich.....
D - last nights menu that got swapped out: grilled pork, spinach and brown rice
Ss - yogurt, cherries, ff latte

Amanda, I have some idea of how that feels and it's sure not good! After I had surgery on my wrists they gave me narcotic pills to take for the pain. I took one the day after the surgery and ended up laying on the floor in the bathroom trying not to move my head at all the entire day. I sure hope you feel better soon!

That doesn't sound like any fun, Amanda! I get very mild vertigo after being on a plane, but never so bad that I'm sick, I just feel a little dizzy. I hope you feel better soon.

Today came in at around 1500 calories. Really, I'm still supposed to be at 1400 calories, but I was hungry and I'm feeling sort of half-hearted about the 1400 calories anyway. I'm at my maintenance weight, I'd just like to lose a couple of insurance lbs. But the longer I go without losing them, the less I care about losing them. And I suspect I'm retaining water. So I'm gonna call it on plan. Here's how it worked out:

B: FF plain Greek yogurt with High Fiber Cereal and raspberries
S: Decaf coffee with FF half and half and SF Torani, small plum
L: Shrimp with Grits Casserole, various pickles, 4 mini snack sticks
S: Hot oat bran with FF cream cheese
S: FF cottage cheese with FF Greek yogurt, raspberries, Fiber One Muffin, FF cream cheese, small plum
D: Roasted Tomato-Beef Goulash with Caraway, served with roasted red peppers and polenta; green salad
S: SF FF pudding with bananas, decaf tea with FF half and half and SF Torani

Exercise was an hour with my trainer.

Friday came in POP calorie wise. I had to again switch around some foods because of BLT's. I bought PHENOMENAL, absolutely PHENOMENAL cherries yesterday. I would like to eat less of them today though.

Amanda, I hope you are feeling lots better. What you have does NOT sound like fun.

Have a great Saturday everyone.
