Like many others, I attend the gym for free. My husband is in the military and being a dependant, I go to the gym on base for free. I just started going to the aerobics classes this week. I hope that it will jumpstart my weight loss!

I joined Gold's Gym last November. I go month to month and pay $19.99 per month and that is because I get a Corporate discount through my fiance's work. The gym is owned by a professional bodybuilder and it is now no longer called Gold's Gym. He changed the name to Koloseum Gym.

I joined the YMCA last June. I think the start up fee was $125 and it's $50 from month to month for a family membership which my boyfriend and I share. We could add dependants for no added cost, but I don't think the dog would have much use for it I like it because they have a pool, all classes are included, and I can go to just about any YMCA even when I’m away from home. Plus there’s not the LA botox/lypo/silicone crowd that you find at some of the Gold’s Gym, 24HR Fitness, and Bally’s out here (seriously scary and intimidating at some of the places I went to look at. Yikes!). Just normal nice folks and families. I find that if I’m not comfortable at a gym it’s not worth it no matter how much it costs.
