    kates106 you seem to be the closest one to me so far.

    I'm calorie counting and going to the gym 4 times a week. Been on it since the first of the year, 17 pounds down so far!

    We are pretty close! I also started at the the start of the year I'm only down 8 pounds though. I'm doing the same thing just counting calories and going to the gym 4 times a week. Add me my fitness pal if you use it so we can encourage each other! (kates106)

    I don't follow a special diet, but I have an eye on my calories. I'll have to get back to really measuring my food, though. I don't do sports at the moment due to the weather and upcoming exams, but I try to walk as much as I can during the day. I got a fitbit one in October, it's really motivating me to move more!
    Oh my goodness! This sure goes to show that I'm...very out of it when I view this thread. I just saw this now, despite the fact that I actually posted after seeing your post! MY GOSH I'm so sorry about that! We really are quite alike though! ^_^

    Heyyyo RideRunRepeat,

    I'm actually starting at 164.5 and am aiming for the 130's as my ideal goal. My heaviest was in the high 170's (college took its toll)
    AND I'm 5'4".
    AND I'm….ok, I'm 25 but that's pretty close to 21.
    AND I'm new to the forum. Haha.

  • I'm 27 (truth because this is anonymous, to your face, I'm 24 and have been for the past 3 years ) and a tall 5'8 .

    My beginning weight was 250, I am currently 230, and my goal is 150, so a total of 100lbs is what I am going to lose. I want at least the first 50 gone by my birthday, which is this summer, where I may or may not be turning 25, I haven't decided yet...

    I just turned 26, 5'4'', weighing in at 189, and looking to get to 135.

    Right now I don't have a job, but I'm looking! Hubby's in the Army so I've been moved across the country and now I'm facing down a looming deployment. This is my chance to get myself into the best shape of my life and finally feel good about myself. I'm going to be starting the South Beach diet, which focuses on complex carbs and getting rid of sugars and simple carbs. I also try to get in 5 workouts a week (mon-fri), 3 of them focusing on cardio and the other two focusing on strength training.
    cdavidowsky, we're similar! I'm 24, 5'3 3/4, 190lb (might be more, too scared to look at the scale), and would like to get down to 125lb. So far my eating habits have been really bad (chocolate and sugar galore) but I'm going to try to start by keeping my junk intake to a minimum. I hate working out but I just got a recumbent bike and I'm hoping to use it for at least 15 minutes every day. When I find my ID, I'll try to go to the gym at least twice a week. Eventually I'd like to try strength training out, but for now I feel more comfortable with cardio.

    Early(ish) 20's
    Either 5'4" or shorter
    Mostly close to the 155-165 range
    All aiming for ~125-135

    Am I crazy? Listed in order of posting : SallyLa,Atarimae, Esponceda, Rated, skittlesfirehawk, RideRunRepeat, LilDazed - gosh darn it, even Amygdala, underanalysis, LawGirl88, cdavidowsky37, polymertastic are also all pretty close.

    We could almost start our own thread. Or some kind of chatroom, or something.

  • I'm thinking that since we're all looking at the 35-55lbs (ish) weight loss....could we be the 'Forty Shorties'? (Oh god, that sounds like a rap song, maybe not...)
