Well, I weighed in at 159.2 this AM. I ended up getting up to 167.2 right after Christmas so I've lost 8 lbs since then, but I'm hoping to truck right through these 150s... But it will be challenging because I'm going on vacation in mid Feb to Cali for 2 weeks and I'm sure I will gain some weight out there.

Hi guys, I was here long ago and now I need to come back. I reached 138 and then I stopped. I gained 5 lbs and maintained at 143 effortlessly, so I decided to stay there. But then my dad died 8 months after my brother died and I went off the rails. As a result, I've gained 22 pounds. Again. I regain exactly 22 pounds every time disaster strikes. I need to lose that weight again. And maybe try for that 8 size M&S pants, if not 139 pounds.

I'm really not in the mood for dieting but I also don't want to stay where I am. So, I'm starting IF in an effort to reel it in a bit. I should be at ~1500 calories if not less by now and I'll try to stop there. I'm probably PMSing, which makes it harder as I'm constantly starving but I'm feeling slightly motivated, so I'll give it a go. Wish me luck!

Glad to see this thread still up and running! Like many others, from thanksgiving until now, I saw the scale creep up. Overall, I gained about 5-6 lbs and would like to change that!

Last week I started at 150.6 and today's weigh day shows 148.4. Normally the first week or so is like this for me. Now hopefully the change stays consistent.

Enjoy your trip, Samantha Daisy! Trip gain is a toughie, because sometimes you feel you deserve all the good stuff. (And by good, I mean the stuff we normally wouldn't eat on a day-to-day basis lol.) Just remember to stay hydrated!

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses, Marniadec. I'm sure you'll come out of this stronger than ever. After all, your family would love that you're making these great lifestyle changes! :)

new to all of this! Hi!

Hi All!
I am new to this site, and to this whole dieting thing! I started at 157 pounds, and am currently down to 148.4 lbs in two weeks! I can't wait to power through the 40's, and get down to my goal weight eventually!
I am doing mini-goals of getting to each of the 10s...so my next goal is 140, then 130...all the way down to 110. I am 5'1", so I feel like that's a good weight to be at, and when I was younger I was there and felt really good about myself!
I joined because I have attempted this before, but did it without support and found it really difficult. I just kind of stumbled into this forum, so hello!
I'm 25 and an actress/singer/dancer, and just would like to feel confident going out for my dance calls and such! I also just got cast as Princess Leia in a Star Wars musical and would like to be down to 110 lbs by July 27, as that is when rehearsals begin, and I just want to look more like her in the body!
I am currently doing the Scaresdale Diet...I had done it before when I was young, and it was pretty effective. I am not used to the smaller portions yet, though, hahah! I still get fairly hungry before meals...just trying to distract myself and let my body get used to it. I'm also drinking a whole lot more water than I did before.
Any other tips, tricks, or opinions on the diet I'm on...or other ones that are super effective, too?

It's nice to meet all of you!

Best,

Kesinee

Joining this thread a little late. I am 153.4 and hoping to get down to the 130's before my wedding in June (already married, but wanted to save money so that we can afford to have a big wedding)! I just had a baby 2 months ago and am working to balance being a mom with going back to work (I get to work from home, so I can still be primary caregiver to me son :) ) and getting my old body back!

I am doing a moderately low carb diet, and focusing on eating more fruit, vegetables, healthy fats and protein.

Good for you! That's an awesome goal, and for such a good reason! Congratulations!

7 more pounds and I'm out of the 140's! Can't wait! :D I haven't been in the 130's since my first year of University in 2006/7! :D

aloha all!

good luck to everyone. I got down to the 140s (147 actually) and then gained some weight back. Am trying to lose weight again. It will be slow but i know everyone here will be supportive on that journey

kahaney 03-31-2015 05:51 PM

Hi!! Yes, progress can definitely be slow, but it's nice to have support from this forum, for sure! It has certainly helped me stay motivated and accountable! :D Nice to meet you!

and you! small victories. Was very tempted to ignore my very healthy lunch and go get a cookie. But i didn't. Even though am very stressed at work and my (unhealthy) coping mechanism is food.

so am feeling good that i satisfied my hunger with something nutritious so i was still productive at work. now to keep doing this every single time

kahaney 04-01-2015 11:14 PM

I definitely get that! I've been a bit naughty this week...actually gained two pounds...but I am back on track as of today, and have just worked out pretty hard, so here's to looking forward, haha! Trying not to get too discouraged!

Thanks, Kahaney! I think we are both on another thread or two as well :) Nice to see someone who has similar goals.

kahaney 04-02-2015 02:01 PM

Hi! Yes!! I recognize you from some other threads as well! I am happy to have found someone with similar goals, too! :D

Hi all,
I had a great start to my diet and in total have lost nearly 27 pounds in 2.5 months, but the weight loss has been slowing down over the last 3-4 weeks and it has taken me 10 days to shift a pound.
But this pound is a very special pound, yesterday I was 150 and this morning I weighed in at 149.6 .... At last, the 140's!

Woohoo. Now if I o......can just lose a bit more.......

27 lbs in 2.5 months?! congrats! I am struggling over the same 3 lbs :( Had way too many sweets over the weekend and am back from 151 to 153 :( Hoping that it's mostly water weight and I can get back down to 151 this week. I have been trying to get out of the 150's for the last 3 weeks and I am so close! I am going to try and up my exercise (from basically none to actually exercising, lol) and hopefully that will be enough to bump me into the 140's!
