Thanks Contender!
This week has been going well for me, and I am finally in my new place (all that is left is to unpack!). I think I have decided that I cannot stand sharing a kitchen with other people. Now that I am (temporarily) alone, I have spread out among the counter-tops and am hard at work. Tonight I plan on making perogies from scratch, filling them with potatoes and celery. I also have baked blueberry banana squares, which I tried a new recipe (one that does not involve adding sugar).
I love cooking, probably just as much as I love to eat, so I will let you all know how things go!
Hey all! Small victory today, dropped to 186.2. Now for a couple days of lighter eating since I am off until the weekend. This is usually my 'good' stretch as I eat better when I work than I do on the weekends I am off. Hoping to maybe come out the other side of the weekend at 185.
jaimie, Why is it that you eat better while working than on the weekends? Could you substitute what you eat while you work for things that you would normally eat on the weekend?
My hubby works out of town, so most weekends we go out for dinner, go to events, etc., and while I try to make the best choices available, it usually is higher calorie stuff than I would normally have. When I am working, I am able to control what I eat a little better. I know its not a great excuse, but I don't want to not have fun going out for dinner, to the movies, fairs, etc with my family while we are able to hang out together. I work one weekend a month, and that is always the weekend with the best 'diet control.' Plus I walk around the dang hospital for 12 hours straight each day!
I'm at 183 from an all-time high of 194, and I'm dying to get out of the 180s. I'm trying to stick to only weighing myself once a month (as getting too obsessed with the scale tends to result in binges when my loss stalls) so I won't even know for sure when I'm out of the 180s.
But hopefully by the time September 1st rolls around, I'll be able to start posting in the 170s/160s thread.
I seem to have been plateauing for these past couple of days, and it is very annoying. That being said, this past week has been somewhat stressful. I was relieved when the scale finally went down again this morning to 188. I will be spending a few days with the BF, so hopefully while I am there things scale wise will continue in this downward trend. He doesn't have a scale, so it will be a bit interesting, but we will see.
I'm excited because I spent much of yesterday and a tad bit today preparing meals for the week. They are ready to be thrown into a pan or oven and cooked and ready. My biggest faults are at the end of the day not having the energy to cook. Hopefully prepepping has helped that this week!
Don't forget ladies, if you want to join the diet bet game, you can go HERE. Only one person has signed up, and there are only three days left to join! We could all use the motivation!
So I am a little worried what the scale will say tomorrow morning (I do my weigh-ins in the morning), as I know my eating has been terrible food for the past few days.
Been yo-yo'ing around the low 190's and finally (barely) hit 189 today. Have a really active day planned for today so I'm hoping the number only gets lower tomorrow
This post accurately describes my frustrations!! I am so dang tired of living in the 190's... Currently sitting at 192. Yesterday on the scale in the AM I weighed in at 191.8. I am absolutely dying to get into the 180's. Hopefully I can make it there soon!
I'm close! I was planning on only weighing myself on the first of every month, but curiosity got the best of me and I weighed early. I'm at 180. One more dang pound and I'll be posting on the 170s/160s thread.
