Robyn is amazing for this! Makes you wonder what kinda relationships she's had though Little Jackie - The World Should Revolve Around Me is another personal favorite!

Evanescence are great for that. Kelly Clarkson - all her songs seem to be about some d!ck in her life at the time =p. Beyonce is great too! Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry have some good break up songs here and there.

I actually have a playlist of break up songs haha.

"Stronger" - Kelly Clarkson
"A Little Bit Stronger" - Sara Evans
"King of Anything" - Sara Bareilles
"F**k you" - Cee Lo Green (or the more PC "Forget you" but I'm bad and the f word makes my angry side feel better)

The first three really made me feel better and remember how strong I am, and how good my life is with or without him.

Goodbye by Alicia Keys "But how do I let go when Ive loved him for so long and ive given him all that I could?..How do you find the words to say Goodbye? when your heart dont have the heart to say Goodbye?" Im happily married and this song still makes my eyes water :-(
End of the Road by Boyz 2 Men
Doin Just Fine by Boyz 2 Men (that one is about being OK after the break up, really empowering)
I LOVE Red High Heels by Kelly Clarkson (at least i think it was kelly clarkson)
Tomorrow by Brandy

I hope these help and I hope you feel better! Everyday that passes, you get stronger...

I'm sorry you are suffering thru this but you are right... music can help. How about some oldies?

Gloria Gaynor - "I will Survive"

Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made for Walkin'

Ray Charles - Hit the Road, Jack

Aretha Franklin - R E S P E C T

Connie Francis - Who's Sorry Now?

And this isn't as old as those but they cracks me up.

Because THIS time she won't wish his plane down. Just this time. NEXT time he won't be so lucky.

Go Sailor - Long Distance

Lily Allen - Smile.

Because every time she sees him cry she just smiiiiles.

For me the songs I've been listening to that seem to help the most are by Pink or are that style. Rock-ish, good riddance type songs. The other ones just make me cry.
