CCers & Exercisers! What are your NET daily calories
I guess this is more of what I was trying to ask with my last thread post....
When you add up all your calories consumed for the day and subtract ( if you do) calories burned by working out.. What is your daily average? I work out pretty hard so my net (calories in- calories out) is never above 1000, actually it'd be 1000 on a day I've eaten ALOT, and I'm starting wonder whether this is healthy/ beneficial.
Most days I eat 1200-1400 calories a day. I do a lot of cardio and according to the machines, I usually burn around 650-800 calories per day on the treadmill/elliptical/stepper. So my net is only 550-650 most days. I don't know if it's "wrong" to not eat back my exercise calories, but it's working for me.
I think this is the case for most of us but it just seems a little crazy to only have a net of 500-1000 when you REALLY think about it. But it does work...
I usually eat 1200, and when I exercise for an hour a day, I usually have a deficit around 1500. When I'm lazy, it's usually around 1,000. Of course, I'm much bigger than you two, so I burn more by doing less.
