I hate this too, so annoying, no matter what size I am. I always wore cotton stretch shorts under, cute ones that have lace at the end, so if they accidentally show it's still cute... I've bought them at Ross, and TJ Maxx.
I was going to say deodorant or baby powder too. Since I got down to a 5/6 I finally got rid of this problem, but I have big thighs and was at a 10/12 for years and it can get so painful!!! Just try and put on something to stop the sweating and it won't be irritated.
I was gonna suggest Body Glide. The heat makes it so much worse. When I was running in the summer I couldn't run in shorts for long runs because of chafing...but in the fall on my half marathon day I ran in shorts without any issue.
WOW! So glad I'm not the only one!! I've had some serious chafing issues in my time, to the point where my inner thighs are just bright red like they've been sunburnt! Didn't realise that body powder would help, will remember that next time =).
Like Jillnicole, I have two pairs of shorts that I wear under the skirts. This helps a TON! Didn't like messing with the body glide and deoderants. If I know I'm going to be out somewhere hot or walking A LOT, I'll put deoderant down there, but I love just throwing on the shorts under a skirt. Then you don't have to worry about it blowin in the wind either
The monistat leaves no residue, you don't notice it at all, just makes the thighs smooth and dry. I have been involved in roller derby and I will use th emonistat gel over my fishnets when I wear a mini skirt while I'm skating. It's totally unnoticeable.
Aerosol deoderant is a good option as well. It's much better than the stick deoderant for the thighs.
bike shorts and tights and leggings, are my solutions! also planning, like someone else said. if i'm going to be hot and walking a lot? no bare legs under a skirt. if i'm going to be sitting, cool, and not totally active? skirt with bare legs is totally fine!
Definitely Spanx...plus they'll give you lovely smooth lines in your dress/skirt...and if you get them in the correct size, you can't overeat wearing them!!! :P
Ive had that problem all my life, my inner thigha touch.. When I wear dresses/skirts I have to wear shorts underneath to stop the rubbing especially if Im going to be walking a lot. I wear the intimate shorts type you can get at your undergarment department.. the very thin ones. I dont wear them if im not going to be walking a lot, like the movies or a party. But if its a all day thing, definitely going to wear it, or ill regret it by the end of the day. The baby powder dosent work for long term.. more like an hr (for me)
I swear a split slip. I don't like being "naked" under my skirts and dresses anyway, so in the summer I wear the split slip (and underwear of course). In the winter I wear pants under my skirt.
