Default bragging rights...

so i don't brag often just for the sake of bragging, but i'm gonna cuz i'm full of myself...yesterday at the boy's house i was joking around and put on his shorts. they're a size 30 in men's and the FIT! i just about died. two years ago this time, i was wearing size 38 in men's shorts. i should have upped to a 40 but would just suck it in because i didn't want to be the same size as my dad. i refused to wear women's shorts because they were too short. i have officially lost 8 freaking inches FROM MY WAIST!! i was astonished. even when i was in 9th grade and started wearing men's shorts (yes, i've been wearing them since 1999...until this summer when i got the shortest shorts i've ever owned..they're fingertip length haha) i still was a 32. 12 years later, i'm a freakin 30. nutso.

Join me. Brag about your accomplishments here. You deserve it!

Yaaaay

I hung out with a friend from high school this weekend in addition to a friend from post-college, and they both kept saying how tiny I looked. My HS friend was even like yeah, you were not this small in high school. I was so excited

6 weeks ago I struggled to even run for a minute, now I run 2.5 miles regularly.

Last night, I got to go "shopping" in my bins of old clothes - and I found 6 dress shirts that haven't fit in about 3 years. I'm down 6" off my waist and my hips each, and am soooooo close to the 30 pounds lost mark. I feel fantastic!

Yay congrats! I just love all the little things that you start noticing when you lose weight. I held the tape measure around my waist today of how it was at my biggest and its almost as big as my current hips. Felt damn good.

Also amyleigh I love your signature... India Arie is amazing!!

congrats, ladies. super proud of all of you. keep 'em comin!!

bex-i agree. she's faboosh
haleymen's shorts are super comfy. especially board shorts. if you haven't tried them, i recommend them. this summer i'll be rockin them with a bikini top for the first time though

one more for me: i went to zumba tonight and even though i didn't put my all into it, i was moving like the skinny girls in my class, lifting my legs just as high, not trudging through it like i used to. i felt fit. hehe.

Today I grabbed a set of bangles that I received as a gift. I have never been able to put them on cause they didn't fit over my hands. They slid on fairly easily this morning.
