One that keeps me going (and I have posted this numerous times so sorry if everyone is getting sick of it) is :
Think of how you will look and feel a year from now if you keep going (with your weightloss journey).... now think of how you will look and feel a year from now if you quit today, tomorrow, in a week, etc. The choice is yours.
Every day counts and the choices you make today, add up to that feeling you will embrace a year from now.
That's my motto as well. I have been struggling with my weight for years, and every year I've tried numerous times to lose weight. And every year I look back, and I was actually gaining instead of losing. So this time, I don't have a time limit and I'm not losing as fast as I could be, but I am losing and keeping it off, which is a big thing for me. I don't want to look back this time next year and be like "there's another time I tried to lose weight and I failed..."
While I wouldn't say I have a motto, I do have a few quotes I like:
"What is not started today is never finished tomorrow."
"If you don't push forward, you'll never improve."
"One more day of staying where you are is one more day it will take to get where you want to be."
I have a few quotes that I keep around my house to keep me motivated. My favorites:
Yeah-it's hard…that first lap you think 'I rock, I'm a god, I can do it'…and by that third? You're thinking 'I suck, I'm a dork, I'm gonna die.' Been there…you just gotta keep coming out.
The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind you have to convince.
Mine is really simple="Beast Mode"
I promised myself 2010 is going to be the year of the sexy beast lol. I will lose the 2nd half of the weight and I will stick with it no matter what. When I feel lazy and don't want to get my butt on the treadmill, I tell myself Beast Mode! This means get your butt up and quit being so lazy.
"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."
"In the morning, when you are sluggish about getting up, let this thought be present: 'I am rising to a man's work.'"

"Even if you are on the right road you get run over if you just sit there." - Will Rogers
