Default How did this happen?

Today, the scale said 131. Last week it said 126. I have been constantly gaining since last week. My eating hasn't really been different, I've upped my exercise a TON. I feel SO bloated,I look bloated - I have never felt this bloated in my life. I haven't exactly taken a decent poo since the weekend. I don't know what's going on. I'm eating my fruits and veggies... the only thing that is different is that I've upped my work outs. I"m doing 30 - 45 min. of cardio, plus the 30DS. I'm so confused, and feeling miserable!

I'd say you're working out too much. Cut back some and if you want to ramp it up do so s-l-o-w-l-y. I did the same thing and stayed the same/gained for a week and then dropped back down and then some the next. Your body just isn't used to it.

Other than that the only thing I can recommend is oatmeal. 3g of fiber a bowl.

If you upped your work out, maybe the muscle is retaining the water...? How is your intake? Try some banana, cabbage, and cranberry juice... They are natural home remedies for water retention...

Gar - I seem to be having the same thing happening. I was doing only the 30DS everyday & then I started last week doing 60 mins on the elliptical everyday & I didn't lose a damn pound. It is the most aggravating thing. I need to keep my butt though. These contestants on the Biggest Loser work out for 8 hours a day - I can certainly workout for an hour & 25 mins a day. Anyway, I'm hoping that it's just water retention due to TOM last week & from upping my workouts. Hoping for big numbers on Monday morning!

Gar -- I'm sorry!! I don't know what's going on, but I bet the lack of decent poo has to do with it! Do you have any super-fiber foods? Try some beans or a Fiber One bar. You're doing so well and you're so close to your goal...keep going!

Omg! If you are already bloated, stay away from the fiber one's! Hello gas and distention!

Anyways, trim down the workouts, go for a steam/sauna or hot tub, or a swim. Relax, 3500 calories EXTRA in one pound. Did you really eat that much extra? My guess is no. Take it easy, and I bet you will be down tommorow.

Lots of things cause bloating and weight gain, TOM, stress, DOMS from strenuous workouts. Maybe your workouts have been upped, but you aren't hydrating properly?

Have some psysillium, have a poop and you will feel better!

You girls are great.

I'm going to just work on some upper body today, not do anything else. I hope I feel better!

I agree with everyone saying your muscles are retaining water. I think it'll all even out! All I can think of is the dreaded "2nd Week" on BL when everyone either stays the same, gains, or barely loses at all. I guess our bodies go through weird cycles sometimes... it'll all even out soon!

I had the same thing. I've been up all week. I took it easy last night and just did some crunches on my ball and stuff and I was down from 180 (since Sun) to 177.5. Kinda weird how we behave so well and our bodies don't reward us for it right away. But I have also lost an inch in my most troubled spot, my pooch below my belly button, in a week so I'm trying to be happy about that.

We'll all make it. We just have to figure out what's right for us, and man is that hard!

Gar and Leighish You will be fine. When building muscles you actually break them down and when they are healing they contain water and other fluids to restore them. GIve a few days and you will be fine. I know it can be soooo frustrating.
