Ooooh, creeeeeeeeeam cheeeeeeeese.

I love moldy cheeses too like gorgonzola and roquefort (the kind that are supposed to be moldy, not the ones that accidentally get moldy).

Moldy cream cheese is bad (for the record).

oh yes, Roquefort! Ate way too much of that on my trip to France this month. FYI: it really goes well with a dessert wine. the dessert wine brings out the roquefort flovour.

BUT, I am avoiding wine and cheese since I induldged way too much when away.

(see earlier post on Featherweights thread ) lol

When we were in Illinois visiting family, I stopped in my favorite shop (World Gourmet) in Bloomington. I bought 3 ounces of a sinfully delicious spanish moldy cheese. At any rate it was delicious in the quarter inch cube on the toothpick sample).

It took me over a month to finish that cheese, because in anything bigger than a smidgen, the mold was too strong, powedery, and just overpoweringly yucky.

I realized that's the kind of cheese I need. Not low fat cheese, but a cheese with such a strong flavor that eating more than a smidgen is way TOO much.

I realize it's why I like a very strong, thinly grated or shredded asiago (it can really be super-stinky), so a tiny bit tastes like a whole lot more cheese than it really is.

Aaaagh, foooooooonduuuuuuue (can you hear the drooling). Oh, I haven't had fondue in ages (and haven't had good fondu since the 70's). I think you must need an avocado colored enameled fondue pot and sterno for that (and the long, color-coded forks), ideally from a family member's wedding gift.

My bf actually just started working at a fondue place. I've never had it, and I know it's not great for you, but we're going to go (just once!) and I'm going to loooooooooove that cheese!

I love cheese, too... I had macaroni and cheese for dinner the night before last, first time I've had it since I started the decreased calorie thing - haven't been able to afford it. Oh my gosh, I didn't realize how much I've missed it...

Now I find myself desperately wanting to go to our local Mexican restaurant - they make a 'shrimp molcajete' where they put shrimp, zucchini, red and green pepper, onion, a spicy red sauce and lots of buffalo mozzarella in a big stone bowl and bake it in the oven... I've avoided it for months because of that cheesy top...

Shannon- that sounds deliciously lethal! Can you ask for it 'half cheese'?
