Queenskinny... Thank you for your compliments, as for your question, "Was it really hard to do?" that is difficult to answer. I always tell people that, "losing weight is very simple, it's just really hard to do". I think it's simple in the way that all you really have to do is eat healthy foods in sensible portions and move your body more than you do now. And it's hard because as we all know temptation is all around us.

Looking back it does not seem hard. It seems like it was the best, most fun, greatest thing I ever did. I felt positive and motivated most of the time. But now it's not always easy. I keep waiting to be normal. Waiting to not always be obsessed with food. On a daily basis I want to pig out and eat unhealthy, delicious food in massive quantities. It seems harder now than it ever has been. I hope this doesn't depress or discourage you, because every momment of my struggle is worth it. It is worth denying myself the pizza and cookies. I think I will have to struggle with food everyday for the rest of my life, but it is worth it, and I am not going to stop. And yes.... at the time, when I was losing the weight, I'm sure it was hard. I just don't remember it that way, and that's the blessing of it. Tomorrow I won't remember how hard it was right now not to eat ice cream, but because I'm not going to eat it tonight, tomorrow I might weigh less. And tomorrow I'll struggle not to eat it again, and the next day, and the next day... my hope is that I will win the struggle more often that not.

So, I say even if it is hard, DO IT ANYWAY!!!! I promise no matter how hard it will be you will not be sorry!!! The only thing you have to lose is your big butt,... right?

Well MaryOjo the short answer is that I stopped exercising and started eating unhealthy again.

I blame...

#1 I started dating an overweight and unhealthy man. He liked to eat out a lot and ate junky, snack food as well. It didn't take long for my willpower to fail. He also complained that I spent too much time working out and not with him. He was not very active and mostly sat around watching TV. To add insult to injury, he dumped me because I gained weight.

#2 The economy hit my business hard and I had to get a second job, and then third job. I couldn't afford my gym membership any more, and I didn't really have time to workout anyway.

#3 My stupidity for letting #1 & #2 take away all my hard work. I could've and should've made better choices.

It's pretty disappointing, but I'm not quitting. I'm back on 3FC wiser and I know I can do it. I can lose the weight again, hopefully for the last time. And I'm not going to let anything derail me again.

Good luck and best wishes to you!

Thanks a lot for the insight, i had to ask cos i've been trying to lose weight and this is the first time the weight is actually coming off, people have been saying that i'll gain it back. I've been inspired by people's progress and comments on 3FC. I like your spirit, all the best as you work towards the goal mark.

Jeni, I think it took so much courage for you to come back here and start over again. Almost all of us here have lost and regained weight at some point. I'll be looking for your updates!

This is WHY I went up to 240 pounds.. He always complained that my workout and meal planning was taking me away from him. Never again! You did it before, you CAN do it again!!! Definitely learned my lesson not to be with a guy like that again, EVER.

That is just awful. Ignore them or use that as motivation to push yourself further so you can prove them wrong.
