I felt that way the past few days, didn't really want to eat, dumped a few more pounds - been at this two months, lost 12 or so lbs. Today I checked fitday and I was only up to 950 calories for the day, so I chugged a gross protein drink. I'm going to work out an hour tonight so that wasn't enough and without more calories I get tired. Strange isn't it. I used to pig out, go out to eat all the time and then viola, two months of diet/exercise and I have no appetite. Talk about one extreme to the next.

I'm glad you posted this sockmonkey. I've been dealing with that this week in particular. One time this week, I skipped dinner all together b/c I just simply wasn't hungry or not finishing all my meals. Then have been eating small meals. I did eat at my parents tonight and had a small dinner.I know that I need to be eating more, but small meals have been satisfying me lately.

I usually just force myself to eat a min. of 1200 calories. I've had weeks where I've been like that. But there are a lot of good suggestions here as well about things to eat.

Seems that protein shakes and smoothies are easy when you don't feel like eating but need calories. Or smoothies with a scoop of protein powder. Lean Cuisine meals on hand too - in the heat here I don't feel like cooking, which might be half of it. And yogurt, cottage cheese with pineapple, crackers with lowfat cheese, berries, etc. Maybe have all sorts of easy snacks and meals on hand....

"What do you do when you lose your appetite?"

Umm...a happy dance? Since the only time I really lose mine are the times I'm either puking my guts out or relegated to the bed with chills and alternating fevers, I'm not sure what its like to have a loss of appetite. But I'd crave one.

I wouldn't worry about it. If its something that continues for a few weeks, perhaps. But just for a week? You could be trying to catch something, or just hit with more stress than usual this week...any number of things.
