Question Best Life Recipes????

Ok so I have been seing a lot of YOU diet recipes but nothing on Best Life.

Has anyone become a member on his site? Gotten any good recipes??

Is there a cookbook that goes with Bob Greene's Best Life book? I have the book and the journal but I need more options for meals and dinner especially.

I made a list of breakfast, lunch and snacks following what Bob's says but the dinners are a little out there for me. Anyone else feel the same??

How's it going? Are you managing to find enough recipes to go with your new plan? I think you could use just about any balanced recipe. Maybe Cooking Light and Eating Well would be good sources.

omavon2 - is his diet on e-diets? I tried Ediets before and was not happy - way too slow.

It would be nice to pick meals and such and have a nice shopping list generated but no such luck unless you use his site.

I am guessing you could use meals from South Beach (level 2 and 3).

Happy St. Pat's Day....Sue

Hello,

I have been following the "Best Life" now for about 2 months...Bob G tends to name a lot of processed foods to follow and eat...I don't eat that much processed foods and my daughter is a vegetarian who's weight is not an issue for (at least not like mine)...so I have taken all my recipes and adjusted them...and we also use the Food Network and google to search for new recipes...

For example...I make a homemade fried rice recipe...that is really not fried but it is...

2 cups brown rice (cook that with no fat or seasonings)
Whatever water your directions tell you to use
2 Tablespoons of Sodium reduced Soya Sauce
I chopped clove of garlic
Cook, drain and set aside

Take...
two stalks of celery chopped
1 medium onion chopped
12 mushrooms chopped
1 Tablespoons Olive oil
2 cloves of garlic

Stir Fry in in my T-Fal along...when done...

Take 1 egg (extra large) and throw it in the frying pan...and scramble with the veggies...

now set all that aside in a bowl...

In the frying pan add
1 Tablespoon of Olive oil
3 Tablespoons of Sodium reduced Soya Sauce
1/4 tsp of pepper

add all of your rice...

Mix together till warm...

Now add all of the egg/veg mixture...

And heat up till hot...and enjoy...

You have a lot of fried brown rice that is not really fried in heart healthy olive oil...that is better than the rice at the Chinese food restaurant with very little unhealthy stuff...

Hope these suggestions help...good luck!
