My motivation is the ticking clock. I just turned 39. The window for being able to look good a bikini is inching shut, and I don't want to die without having worn one. In public.

Also, I just plain want to live longer. I like being alive. I figure I can stay on this side of the dirt longer - and keep my wits about me better - if I eat clean and move.

Cheryl....do you like hip hop abs? I thought about that but wasn't sure if it was any good.

Archy...you're hilarious.

As I lost weight, I constantly bought new, more revealing, clothing along the way. I'd usually buy something expensive and a size too small as motivation to be able to fit into it. I also started tanning. It was a phase, as now I worry more about what too much tanning can do to my skin. But once I'd gotten smaller, I started tanning frequently. Had a real nice one going too. I guess I just never felt I could get a round body into a pancake machine before, so tanning never crossed my mind as something I could do.

Oh, and I'm not one for putting holes in my body. I already have built in holes, don't need more. Besides, that's more permanent. But I DID use the little playboy bunny stickers at the tanning salon right next to my belly button. Might be something to consider if you want to try something a little less permanent on first.

I use a self tanner. I feel stronger when I am working out if I look down at my tan arms... it's weird, but I feel more in shape when tan which is motivation. Summer is coming!-another form of motivation.

well first i gave up junk food for lent, so that way i can only have junk food on sundays which is helping me to eat much healthier. also, i go on here and read other peoples success stories, plus getting on the scale and seeing ive lost weight, even if its only like half a pound or a pound is motivation enough. then theres my mom who started a diet at the beginning of the year and lost like 15lbs and she eats well and excercises 5 days a week and she seems to determinated and i admire that she has to will power to do that and that motivates me to do the same. but if im still feeling unmotivated i look through some magazines and i see all these thin girls and then theres always like an article about someone who lost alot of weight and that motivates me.
