Good morning! Another poor night of sleep. Sigh. Not as bad as the night before, but still I woke up every two hours...its driving me batty!

I am packing up and getting ready to leave. I have a meeting this morning for the subs at the school, then will head on out to the mountains to work. I won't be home until late tonight. Ya'all talk amongst yourselves while I am gone!

Ok ladies, My 2 months of weight watchers is up, andI've decided not to continue. For one, we really don't need to have another $40 a month spent onmy weight loss, and also, it's jsut too ahrd to get to meetings with Trav's schedule. But, I'm happy to say that I lost 8 lbs in my 8 weeks and I'm now down to 191. I feel really good, andI'm hoping to be back in the 180's next week. I bumped up my exercise alot this week, so I'm hoping it shows.

THe baby pictures are all so cute! I'm going to have to get some of my little munchkins today. I still don't ahve a camera, but we are going to my MIL's after the Y for lunch and a 'Tea Party' for Selah. SHe's so into them and her Gma jsut loves tea parties. I made some SF SPelt SHortbread to take for desert, and I'm encouraging her to do SB, since she is doing low carb whole grains anyway. I'mtaking her the book today.

Monet- I don't thinkI can stay 100% OP through the holidays. I have Travis, Selah AND my birthday in December, too. I'm definitely challenging myself to exercise EVERY SINGLE DAY, even if it is just walking aroudn the house. I've done every day for almost 2 weeks now and I feel great. BTW, Your comment on the cat food cracks me up.

Fruit- Lucas was 2-3 weeks late(depending on how you count) and my other 2 were early. It's litterally like he is a month older. I keep joking about that and the pediatrician actually confirmed that late babies often do act older. He slept through the night since 5 weeks, rolled over early. He's already starting to sit up and wanting food. I'm so not ready for it all. I want to enjoy my LITTLE baby, since he may be my last but I also am sooo ready to get the baby stuff and breatfeeding overwith. It's deffinitely a bittersweet thing.

Tech- You are an amazing mother. I love the way you talked to her. I started the boy thing at 12 and snuck around because my parents were very harsh. I can't imagine how different life would have been with a mother who was more open and treated me like that. That's absolutely the way I want to be. I'm excited about using the wedding for motivation. I do expect to look great, andI have plenty of time to work on it without it being a crash diet or something unhealthy.

BOB- THat trip makes ME want to take a nap jsut reading!!! Glad you could get some rest.

Ok, Gotta get ready for my Water Challenge class

Hi Ladies,

I am swamped so this is going to be short. I have restless night of leg cramps. Both calves, the side of my leg and the arches of my feet. Everytime I turned over, I got a cramp. May be due to the water pills I am taking.

What an exhausting and frustrating trip. Hopefully you can rest up. When do you go back to work?

Monet, hope the school meeting goes your way. Have fun making pots today. The gluten thing is interesting. Is it in everything?

Talitha, Even though I think the meetings really help, I hate paying for them too. I am a life time member so if I miss, I don't have to pay. I think journaling is the most important part. I made a copy of their tracker and I make copies when I miss a meeting. You can do it on your own.

Tech, what a great talk. I think Shelley will be fine, it's that peer pressure that gets them in trouble. As long as she knows where you stand, she will be fine.

Got to run.

JACKIE...I go back to work on DEC 1st. But I have to tell you that I'm seriously thinking about a revision of my stomach stapling. Still in the thought process, but definately thinking....
I'm having an MRI tuesday on my knee...fingers crossed they don't find anything...IF, I have to have surgery, I will be using all my time off...IF, I have a choice in surgeries....I would rather lose weight!

KRIS...Kate is doing fine...although, we had quite the shocker this morning. My Nephew Jeff's Wife Tracy (whew) called out of the blue (remember? we don't really have a relationship anymore...she has pushed Jeff to HER family and away from ours!) CRYING. She said Jeff's work had called to find out where he was (he left home at 7a.m. and it was now 10a.m.) and that it just wasn't like Jeff to not call if he was going to be late! She wanted our DOCS tele# (we have the same DOC) to see if by chance he had an appt this morning that he forgot to tell her about. They have a family calendar and they write EVERYTHING on it and he hadn't written anything down today at all! Of course I tried to calm her down first and asked her if she had called the hospitals and the police...(he works in the next county) Her Sister works for our county and she had already called Deb and she was calling both stations. She had called all 4 hospitals and they didn't have him listed. I told her I would go down to the DOCs office since they weren't answering the phone yet. She then just went into full meltdown...I promised I would go there (just down the street) and come right over to their house. She was there alone with the babies and needed support. Let me tell you this was the hardest thing I've ever done. (just thinking he wasn't all right about did me in!) I just got my clothes on and the phone rang again and it was Tracy. Jeff had a class of some kind today (he's an accountant) and his assistant had forgotten to put it on his calendar and he would be there until 1 pm. She was still upset, but this time she was mad... I didn't let on to her how upset I was, but I did ask her to "KICK HIS ARSE" and she assured me she was going to do that! You have no idea what this did to KATE...I was going to leave her here to take a possible call that one of her babies was...well you can imagine...When I get my hands on him..he should have called her when he found out he had this class. OOOOOOOOOO....!!!!!!

I'm off to finish ER...I'll check in tomorrow with more replies...

Hello all my buster buddies! I am home from the mountains and the studio. We got new clay that I carried up today...we must have liked it because we used 50 pounds of it! I made two large pitchers, a large casserole dish, and some goblets. I got the handles pulled and my partner will finish the casseroles when they are dry enough to work with. My older daughter went with me to ride the horses. While they were riding, I was working and heard an explosion in the kiln. We turned it off, and cooled it some, then opened it up to see what broke. It was one of my large pitchers from last week. Dang. It was not dry enough and just blew up! Good thing we opened it because it had slung shards all over a glazed piece and would have ruined it. It was climbing again when I left. Next week we will glaze. I dropped my daughter off and came home, and I did not have TOO much trouble staying awake, which was good.

The meeting at the school went well. I am scheduled to sub for the art teacher next week. It is the middle school, and I will be able to teach them a drawing lesson. I am looking forward to it. I think the assistant principal will be observing, so if I do a great job, it will help my chances at a regular job there.

Time for bed...so night!

Good morning! I am doing a craft project for the women's ministry brunch tomorrow, so I need to prepare and go buy all the stuff. They are supposed to pay for supplies, and leave with a gift to give. From mine, they will leave with a box of candy. I am going to have them make peppermint bark, and peanut clusters for sure, but not sure what else. When I am off getting the stuff, I will check it out. I may have them make chocolate dipped caramels, and a cream center as well. I have a few recipes for others..like buckeyes, and white chocolate coconut balls. Everything is a diabetic nightmare....I better not EAT any of it!

BOB: I am sorry you are not sleeping still. I think exercise would help. Did you ever check your blood glucose levels?

Howdy all. This has been a great day. I've been OP and walked on the treadmill. If I count Sunday I got in 5 days this week. Woopie. Went to town to the post office and out to tea with a girlfriend. It was fun to be out for a bit. I stay at home lots. It seems its so hard for me to get out and about because of Steve working nights. My little dog drives him nuts when I'm gone so I hate to leave when he's trying to sleep. I made a tuna casserole with Annies whole wheat macaroni for dinner last night. It was pretty good. Next time I might put some sour cream in it for a change.

Bob- Wow that was quite an ordeal you went through today. How scary. You were so good to be there for her.

Solly- How your day got easier.

Talitha- Congrads on the weight loss. You can do it on your own.

Techwife- You're a good Mom.

Monet- Oh I'd so love to come to one of your classes. I love to learn how to make new things.

Hope I didn't forget anyone. Off I go to play on the internet.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous here. Laura, Kaeleb and I went for a walk at the park. The little bugger is starting to try and reach for things and played with a toy he likes the whole time. When he was not trying to grab it, he was stuffing his thumb in his mouth and holding it there with the other hand. SO cute! His eyes have turned almost totally brown now. He smiles and chuckles a lot, and will talk very seriously with you. Its such a sweet age!

I am really tired today. Not sure why...guess I did not sleep all that well. Dinner tonight will be pork chops...not sure what else I will make. I feel kind of blah, so it will be light for me.

Where the flippin H is everybody?

Its cold, wet and yucky outside today, so I made a gigantic pot of split pea soup. I'm on about my third bowl. I just finished crying my eyes out with Shelley watching The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. DH says, "Now, why would you want Shelley watching something that is all girls being boy crazy?" But, of course we watched it anyway. It wasn't really about girls being boy crazy...we'll, a couple of them are, but it's a nice lesson of...the girls with HOBBIES didn't get their hearts handed to them by the boy in the movie. Anyway, without getting into the movie too much, it was a VERY good movie and both Shelley and I were bawling our eyes out. Shelley and Kyle are playing Donkey Kong on the gamecube, but I might go kick them off and make them to WATP with me.

Okay...at least SOMEBODY's talking on here today...where the heck IS everyone?

BOB: I've noticed that you haven't mentioned the fact that the TIGERS won last week - did you happen to see that game or have you blocked that out of your brain?!? HAHA!

Hey everyone! I went and did my craft lesson this morning. It was fun, and I did not eat any of the candy we made. I think the ladies had fun, but there were only about seven of them, and I had planned for 15 to 20. So, I have about nine boxes left! Thankfully, I don't really like any of the kinds we made!

Tonight, Tom and I went and ran errands. I found something interesting at the Asian market...its steamed and dried sweet potato strips. They look like they will be chewy. I will let you all know how they are. The only ingredients are sweet potatoes and a preservative. We got crystalized ginger for Tom. He finds it settles his stomach. I like it too, but only have one piece if I feel ill. It has too much sugar, even if it doesn't TASTE sweet.

I got to play with Kaeleb some tonight. He is SO cute! He just sat in my lap and watched my game of spider solitaire like he was figuring out how to play. He kept cooing and talking...makes me want to eat him up! Then he will lean back and look at me and give me a big grin. I need to get a picture of that grin...it is so awesome!

The bathroom is almost ready to paint. James put mud on the walls today, and smoothed it. Tomorrow, we will sand it and then I will be able to paint it with primer. Then I have to decide on a color...

TECH: I will have to watch that movie..never heard of it! I am hard to please...I don't like violence, or suspense. Romance is ok, and comedy is good...but I don't care for x-rated stuff either....

BOB: It was an interesting day for football...I was kind of hoping USC would pull off a win..but don't tell Gator!

FRUIT: I see your Tigers are winning right now...hope it has a good outcome for you!

Morning! I just got in from a walk with Tom. It was cold, a bit windy, but sunny, clear skies. Very pleasant if you bundled up! My bg is good too, even though I skipped the evening and morning doses of my lizard spit. It is SO nice not to feel nauseated.

Not much is going on here. Tom has a meeting this afternoon. I think I will run over to Garden Ridge and see if they have the size stool I need while he is gone. Tomorrow I have to fix dinner for the leadership at church. I am making chili, cornbread,
salad andbutterscotch and chocolate brownies. I was so mad when I went to Publix last night. The chili grind of the ground beef was like $3 a pound and I bought a good bit of it on Wednesday. Last night, I needed a few more pounds and here it was on sale for $1.99! I would have saved over $10.

I am going to toddle off and find something to drink. I guess I will cook the pinto beans for the chili in my pressure cooker, then head on out. I will check in later!
