Default Sloppy Joes

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone know if we're allowed to have sloppy joes? I know I can't have the bread, but is the meat and sauce (manwhich sauce) okay to eat?

If you post the ingredients we can help... look for corn syrup, sugars, corn starch etc... those should raise a red flag.. you could try to just make some on your own with a can of rotel and chili seasoning..just a thought

Manwich looks like it has added sugar, maybe too much. But you could probably make your own out of tomato paste and Ro-Tel or something that would be totally OP.

Ingredients: Tomato Puree Water, Tomato Paste , Distilled Vinegar , Sugar , Less than 2% of: , Salt , Dehydrated Onions , Dehydrated Red & Green Bell Peppers , Chile Pepper , Tomato Fiber , Spices , Guar Gum , Xanthan Gum , Oregano , Dehydrated Garlic , Locust Bean Gum , Natural Flavors

From what I see Manwich for 1/4 cup has 7G of carbohydrates.

If you can wait until tomorrow when I am working from home, I will post the Sloppy Joe for a Crowd recipe that I use. I have South Beachified the recipe and it is really eat to make. It does take some time to simmer (90 min, I think) but it makes enough for two or three dinners so I just put leftovers in the freezer for another meal.

I have posted my Sloppy Joes for a Crowd recipe http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...38#post1181838

Make it up and freeze it in portions and you will find it as easy as opening a can.
