Good Morning!!

Exercise, ughhhhh! Seems like when I plan to kick it up...or actually do any at all...it backfires. So I know what you mean.

My eating wasn't horrible this week. I did use my flex points early on, which is unusal for me. Then yesterday I totally lost control. It was bad!!!!!!! I am up at least 2 pounds. Hopefully with watching what I eat today and tomarrow and chugging the water I can flush out a bit of it before my weigh in tomarrow night.

I gave an official two week notice to teh lady I babysit for. I had told her to take her time finding someone. But, she found a girl and asked me to do two days a week until the adjusted. So I said ok, then told her my last day would be March 3rd. Starting March 6th I will watch my neighbor's two year old (he'll turn three two days before my daughter) and 4 month old. Mon, Tues, Wed, I will be at her house, and Thursday, and Friday they will be at my house. Danielle will pay for food on the days the days the kids are at her house (including food for my kids) and I will pay for food the two days they are at my house. So that works out GREAT. My days will be longer, and a 4 month old is a lot more work. But, the two year old is soooooooooo different than the one I watch now. Of course he is still two, but he isn't going to physically hurt my kids. Plus three days a week I can clean my house and have it clean when I come home!!!

I am excited. It will also keep me out of the snack foods a bit I think b/c if she is buying it I am not going to eat it. I will pack my own lunch and snacks for me. I think that will help alot. I won't be able to walk alot or go out with my kids, liek I had hoped once I quit working, but I think it will be fun.

Have a great day all!!!

Misty - that sounds good. I really hope this lightens up your stress load a little.

Jen - hope you enjoy your week off!

I don't have much to write lately - we're still sick with influenza. I want to try to work out today, but I have very little energy, and last night's Nyquil hasn't worn off yet. I feel like a sloth!

Eating wise - got back into sugar, unfortunately. And I feel icky from it. DH is leaving for an overnight business trip, which just makes me wanna be lazier.

I was so full of energy and enthusiasm a few weeks ago. I need to find a way to get that back.

Happy Monday!

UGHHHHH!!!

I love my neighbor, she's a dear friend and I totally respect that she cares so much about her kids, but now she is wavering about pulling them out of daycare. Her son has been there his whole life and she doesn't want to be too hasty. He's used to an active day with lots of friends to play with. It would be a huge adjustment for him to one, not be in school, two have other kids in his home playing with his stuff. I really do respect that and I really have no problem with her doing that at all. She just wants mroe time to see if the new daycare staff and director are gonna work out (they kind of cleaned hous eand changed everything within the staff recently and it didn't sit well with my neighbor). And if she decides to keep him there it's fine. So now I don't know if I am working or not LOL.

I am ok with it though. I won't mind at all just being with my kiddos. I will miss the money ALOT. But that's ok we'll make it through

Tracy, my motivation wanes too. It's har dto maintain it all the time. I kind of go through spurts. So you'll get your groove back soon, i am sure.

Morning all.

Misty - sorry to hear that you had a crappy weekend foodwise and I imagine it is -1000 outside like it is hear so no way is it time to take the kids out for a walk! When will you know if you will be working for this lady? Sounds like it would be an interesting setup being at her house 3 days. I can understand her not wanting to quit daycare, we loved the first one we had our son in, I wouldn't have preferred any other kind of arrangement.

Tracy - it takes time to get motivated after being sick because you get into that sick mode where you just want to be lazy and recover. Don't rush into exercising if you aren't fully recovered. I always end up getting sick again when I do that. If you are still taking Nyquil you are still probably too sick to exercise. When you can get through the night without it then you can work out again!

I worked last night and just woke up from a very solid sleep and I want to work out today so I'm going to sign off and check you chicks out tomorrow. Take care!

Hi!

I am shocked! I lost a pound this week! I really didn't think I would lose anything and was prepared for a gain. I am really pleased. So I have 9.5 more pounds to reach my Easter goal. And what 7 weeks to do it? It's totally doable.

So, I am done with my first babysitting job. She said instead of two weeks of partime we'll just let the new girl take them full time. I am her back up, which has already gotten me into watching them this Friday LOL. I am ok with that. I still don't know about the new job with my neighbor. I am ok with her taking her time and if she decides not to move the kids I am cool with that. She is probably losing her job in August anyway. She is totally different than the first lady who has no problem just ripping her kids from one person to anotherat any time. So I respect her taking her time.

I had a HUGE, GIANT really BAD fight with DH Monday night. He is still apologizing. I'll spare you the details, but I think it was one of our worst fights ever. But I think we will be ok.

It is freezing here. Today it's not horrible between 15 and 20 F and it's sunny. So, I bundled the kids up and put them in the jogging stroller with a blankie. We took a short 15 minute stroll, DD was cold b/c the wind was worse up on the hill we walked. So we turned around and came home. The kids played outside for a few minutes on the swing set. DS would have liked to stay out longer, he's still dragging his coat and hat over to me saying "Peas, Peas!" I am glad we were able to just get out a bit.

You're right, Jen, I should probably stick with yoga for the time being. Unfortunately, it's looks like I've gotten a sinus infection. Yuck.

Misty, congrats on the pound! I'm sorry about your fight with DH. But I hope something good comes out of it.

Okay, DD wants to choose a smilie. We're beginning preparations for her b-day party on Saturday, and she's beside herself.

Hi!

I had abig long post. Not sure if I didn't submit it or if it disappeared

Anyway, Happy Birthday to DD Tracy!! I hope you are feeling better!!

My neighbor still is up in the air. Her son's old teacher from the daycare has two openings in her home daycare, so she may go that route. Which would be fine by me. I would be a little bummed but would understand since Jake knows her better.

Well off to do the laundry thing! Have a great day!!

Congrats on your loss Misty, good work! Don't you hate it when you type in a long post and it just disappears into cyber space. Happens to me too.

This week did not go as well as I planned. I wanted to exercise more, yesterday I just didn't feel like it and should have pushed myself a little more and didn't. Today I will for sure. My food choices have been poor and as a result did not lose any weight this week. Go figure, 4 lbs last week and this week nothing. Well next week will be better. I've got to get a move on if I have a hope in he!! of making my goal. When it gets to the point that I have to lose 4 lbs a week every week to make it then I know I am not going to do it. Right now I am at like 3 lbs a week which is probably a bit more than what is realistic but doable if I really watched what I was eating and exercised more. I can lose weight when I really try, it is just getting to that level of motivation that I seem to be lacking. I seem to be good for short periods of time when for whatever reason just can't stay with it. Not good for long term loss that will stick because I send up yo-yoing.

Tracy - hope you are feeling better, are you ready for the party tomorrow?

Take care all, talk to you later.

Hi everyone. Oh goodness, I'm just too good at making birthday cake. I think we'll have to pitch the rest.

Well, I called DD's party off for now - her nose started running yellow yesterday, and last night she had a fever of 102.5. DH and I have sinus infections, and the kids are getting them too now, after-effect of the flu. She's much better this morning, but I didn't want to wait until today to cancel if it looked necessary. One of her friends has the flu as well, so it's probably best to wait a week or two. Now, do I leave up the luau decorations or take them down?

But we did have the family party with g'ma and g'pa last night, so she got her loot and is happy for the time being.

Going to TRY to exercise today, between coughing fits. As far as eating goes, I could do better, but I've done worse. Lent is approaching, which always gives me a boost to try harder.

Take care, ladies!

Tracy - sorry to hear that you had to cancel the party. Leave the luau decorations up is my vote!

I had a quiet weekend, eating was so-so ,excercise almost non-existant. It was pretty cold out but my son and I went out for a little bit to kick a ball around and a short walk. Better than nothing I guess. I had a migraine for most of yesterday afternoon and evening. It would go away after I took some meds and stay away for about 3 hours then come right back again. At bedtime I took a sleeping pill and some Demerol so I was feeling really loopy after that. I had to get up a couple of times in the night because our 4 year old was grinding his teeth so loudly we could hear it in our room. Finally I just laid down beside him and he stopped it. Anyone else's kid grind their teeth? Still feeling a bit headachey today but nothing like a migraine yet. Had a good breakfast and I'm going to ride my exercise bike while ds is at school. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello all!!

It's been a bad few days of eating for me. I am up oh like 4.5 pounds right now

I start my new babysitting job on Wednesday.

Sorry to hear that you had to cancel the party Tracy. I vote to leave them up also, how fun!!!!!

Jen, sorry about your headache. Migraines are awful!!! As far as the teeth grining DD does it when she is awake. It's a fairly new concept to her and she knows it gets a reaction from me LOL. I used to grind my teeth and b/c of it I have kind of sloped teeth in the back, they sort of angle down on the inside. Also my best friend was so bad about it she has TMJ syndrome and you can hear her jaw cracking and popping when she chews. She got a little retainer type thing from the dentist to sleep with to make her stop, but she never uses it.

Maybe ask your doctor or dentist. I still will grind my teeth in my sleep if I am stressed out or super tired.

Have a great day all. I am trying to stay on track today, but I am not sure it will help much. Lots to do so i better run!

Morning everyone. well I am really po'd at myself. My weight is back up to my highest weight. I didn't think I had lost any this past week but I didn't think I had gained. So it is time to put my nose to the grindstone. I've set up some goals and I've got my journal back out and I"m going to make my birthday goal if it kills me!!!

Misty - how was your weigh-in, were you up as much as you thought? Good luck with your babysitting job today! I checked for some info on the teeth grinding and it doesn't seem to be too much you can do especially at his age because he's still got baby teeth. Seems like they don't really worry about it unless he is grinding them down to the gum or has cracked a tooth or something serious like that. After the permanent teeth come in they are more likely to prescribe a retainer like your friend has. Last night it was really bad and kept us awake for awhile.

Hope everyone has a great day!

hi. I am sooooo tired. Just plain worn out. I was up at 5:30, did 30 minutes on the treadmill, showered, then did all of my normal daily housework things (no deep cleaning but things like wiping down the bathroom and vacuuming). Then I got the van loaded and the kids up and dressed and headed of fto babysit. What a nice day we had though.

Jen-sorry to hear you are up. You'll get there. You are on the right track with getting your journal out and such.

I didn'tw eigh in Tuesday b/c we had to go get our taxes done. I am way up and I didn't care. I ate chinese buffet last night for dinner on started my new week of points this morning. I feel good about it. Being out of my hous ethree days a week is going to help alot I think.

Well gave a great night!!!!!
