S/C/G: xmas start wt: 156

Default Jan 17

I'm too lazy to get up from the 3rd floor and go to the 2nd floor to open up a can of tuna for supper. That's my goal...lol..what a lofty one.

B: Yogurt, 8 oz of chocolate milk
S: Pumpkin Seeds (1/4 cup)
L: Lean Cuisine Meatloaf and whipped potatoes
S: Pear and 10 cherry tomatoes
D: Still waiting, but grabbed a snack pack of cheezits because I was too lazy (not horrible calories, but very empty.)

Plan, Tuna and Crackers (10) and a can of V8 juice.

I've had 34oz of water and plan on 17oz more. A little weak but not bad.

Sure Linda, the more recipies the better

I bought the jennie-o breakfast turkey sausages...they are really good. The morning I had them I baked them in the oven with my baked eggs.

Okay tonight I had the mediteranean pork chops....very good, but my oven isn't working right now and so I had to fry them in a little olive oil. Also had the zucchini and roasted sweet peppers with feta. This is the first time I've ever had roasted sweet peppers and I LOVE them! I never thought I would like them but they are awesome. Also had a little hummus with some ww pita...hummus is an acquired taste, also something I've never had before, but even my dh who at first decided he didn't like it kept eating it until he admitted it started tasting pretty good. Rachie kept wanting more to dip her pita in! Also, I tried the parfait recipie but instead of using kiwi I used blueberries and strawberries. I'm definately not hungry!

I doin't think you saw my note on this recipe, but we are checking with the Sonoma nutritionist to see if that recipe is legal. Suzanne and I have serious doubts as it is what is commonly known as Franken food.. fake foods if you will. This plan stresses "real" foods as opposed to stuff made in a lab, so I would really wait to see what the decision from Sonoma is on this. If it isn't legal, I'll remove it.

Small doses might very well be okay.. stay tuned

I like looking at what everyone else is eating . Just wondering, is there any way that members could either post when they started the Sonoma Diet or what wave they're presently on . It would help others figure out if they are able to copy menus if they are on the same wave. In fact it would be neat if it could somehow be included in the signature for all the posts. Then newbies like me could maybe buddy up with other newbies or just admire the progress of others easier. Just a thought .
Maybe this has already been done and I haven't noticed it yet? (I'm still exploring the forum)

lilbitrsweet, just started Sonoma on1/19/06

Lil, welcome to the forum. I agree it would be good for people to post what Wave they are on, but also be aware that some people who are posting here don't seem to be following Sonoma. Read the book, ask questions, but don't assume that everything everyone posts here is Sonoma friendly - because it's not. I check.

I just figured out that I could add my own text under my member name (through the user CP, edit profile). So I put my start date there. That was easy enough!

Hey Clareh,

It is a franchise here in Canada. People say it is super expensive, but I disagree. The stuff is all made from scratch and it is consistantly excellent. Their website is http://www.kegsteakhouse.com/

There is a Chicken dish called Creole Chicken, but I just get the topping on the side.. without
the chicken.. Scallops and Shrimp with tomatos.. yummy,Bit spicey but not much.

I think we could def, start a sticky of Returants and Sonama friendly menu items. I think it would help a ton in people who have to eat out alot.. (meetings and socially)

No, I didn't see your note until a couple of days later. It really was good though! Luckily only eating it the one time won't kill me, although I do have another box of sugar free pudding in my cupboard because it was a 2/for special.

Last night I indulged a little too much on the pasta...DH made it and I forgot to ask him not to mix the sauce and sausage into the pasta...so I ended up with too much pasta in order to get more meat and sauce. Oh well.

Today I've had scrambled eggs (two) and slice of ww toast. And some skim milk...I can't go totally without my milk, so when I don't have my cereal, I still have a small glass. I figure that will keep me from going hog wild on it from craving it later.

For lunch I went to Cracker Barrel with my mom and had a grilled chicken salad with olive oil and apple cider vineger and a slice of ww sourdough toast. I figure that their ww is probably not 100%, but it's better than getting straight up sourdough. There was a lot of tomatoes and lettuce to it...some red onions that I just could not eat...WAY to spicy! and so I ate mre than the standard serving size, but since they were all wave 1 I figured go for it.

I still need some fruit for today however. I ordered dd some fried apples, but didn't indulge in what she had left over since they put all that sugar in them. Would have liked to though.

Tonight I'm not sure yet. I've got so much to choose from in my fridge! Plus, there is some pasta left from last night yet. I may save that for tomarrows lunch, but I'm not sure whether to have fish or shrimp, chicken, I've got ground lamb...the choices are somewhat overwhelming! But, believe it or not, I have not had any fish yet on this diet, and since that's kind of the cornerstone of the diet I figure I should probably have some...so Tilapia it is!

I still need to call brother in law to see if he can light a pilot light on a gas stove (my husband, even though he's a chef, is worthless in that department! I don't know where the one for this stove is...the one my mom has, yes...this one is not the same spot!) That way I can start cooking in my oven again! Thank goodness for the electric grill otherwise I think we might have starved by now!
