Yep, Ver-sales here. I think the midwest has something against European pronunciations. We have Milan, that instead of Me-lahn is My-lan. And Vevay that is pronounced Veevee. I don't even know. But I did know how to pronounce Edinburgh! (But that reminds me of a quote that says "don't make fun of someone that mispronounces words, it means they learned them from reading!" something I've found to be true for myself heh)

Day 2 and I already fail because I forgot to weigh in! And also failed at not eating after baby bed time. I was hungry and craving sweet, so I had a small bowl of cereal thinking that would take care of it... It did, and was within my calories for the day, but I still feel bad about it. And I didn't get my exercise in today because we were busy around the house... I'm glad it doesn't officially matter until Monday (then I lose money if I miss my steps goal!). Staying under my calorie goal, and drinking the water is about the only "win" I can claim today. But it's better than nothing, I suppose.

Oh! We got our star to top the tree today, so tomorrow is cleaning house and putting up the tree. FINALLY. I'm excited. I love Christmas.

Good morning

December 3: 208.6

I hope everyone's Saturday is going well. I've been out and about since early this morning and have already hit almost 12,000 steps. The day is young. If all goes well, I'll hopefully hit between 6-7 miles today.

@LurchMama: How are you feeling? Glad all that gunk is loosening up. Your cough probably will be worse for a bit while you get it out of you. Your DH is just looking after you so don't be too upset.

@FeraFila: I love Christmas as well; not the commercialism, the season. I love the sights and smells, seeing my breath, the stars so clear in the night sky, the music, food...ah, Christmas

@Bookmark and FeraFila: Good luck with your "march for 15". It's a big goal but it sounds like you both have the attitude and plan to either reach it or make a significant dent in your goal. Stay ladies.

@Scotsgal: Great job on the kettlebell workout

@Wannabehealthy: Nice drop!

Okay, I'm out for now. Off to run errands!

@curvynotlumpy - My hubby is a pastor, so we do the Advent/Christmas thing from the beginning of Advent until Epiphany (Jan 6). It's always crazy, and fun, and busy... and we get to add a toddler to the mix this year. It makes December my favorite month of the year. The church things like caroling around the nativity, the children's program, the Christmas Eve service at midnight... And all the other family and friends things, I smile all month long!

Today I'm working on being diligent about measuring/weighing foods for accurate calories and sticking to my food plan. I always put dinner into MFP first and plan the rest of my day of food around the calories left. I don't like to deprive my hubby, so sometimes dinner can be pretty hefty and I have to make my day lighter to allow it!

I've also started a tumblr account, and my new years resolution for 2017 is to post a picture of something that made me smile every single day. So I named it 365days365smiles. There is so much negativity everywhere I look, and I figured that would be something to keep me in a positive state of mind, which will keep me from stress eating, and ultimately help me reach my weight goals, so bonus!

And now the college football game I've been waiting for has kicked off, so I'm gonna go yell at the TV for a couple hours.

Happy Saturday!

Mandy, my DH is also very big on dinner, so I plan my eating around him. I eat a much smaller version of what he's eating, but eating together is the priority.

Happy to see this drop this morning. Hope I can make it stick. I want so badly to get back into Onederland.

Weighed in today expecting a nice drop. Less than a pound down. Slow start. I wasn't expecting that. But it's better than going up.

So, I flipped off the scale, planned my food for the day, and did a little walking.

Good morning

I hope everyone had a great weekend. My weight is down to 207 which is almost two pounds down from Saturday. My eating has been off mostly due to scheduling issues and eating my biggest meal either at noon or the early afternoon. I seem to be eating enough that I haven't been hungry at dinner time. It's nothing I planned but it is interesting to see what the data reveals. Don't know if I can keep it up forever but I do like the result

@Wannabehealthy: If you feel something pushing you into onderland, it's me! And I want you to push me as well. I can't even imagine seeing a weight that begins with a 1 again. It's been too long. Here we go!

Wishing everyone a great day!

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days, been looking after my niece who was in hospital, my brother caught a tummy bug, so I had to take the little one before she ended up in hospital AGAIN. The weekend hasn't been great food wise, but I did clock in some 20,000 steps over fri, sat, sun. I am working on trying to get at least 6,000 on average per day. Some days I do 10,000, some days I barely hit 2, so i need to balance them out better.

LurchMomma That's so unusual to have the same river pronounced two different ways. I also hope you feel better soon.

Fera That's funny about the pronunciation, You know you are 100% correct! There are some Scottish towns and cities that aren't pronounced anything like what they look like written in plain English. For example, Milngavie is pronounced Mull-Guy and the castle near me is called Culzean Castle which is pronounced Kull- ain. We have a wee giggle at the tourists, but we know that unless they can use a mixture of the old Scots language and Scottish Gaelic, then they have no chance. Also many of the first European settlers to the states couldn't read or write which is why many words differ from English UK to English US. It Is just so interesting to see the name of our towns and cities over in the states .

I also put in dinner first to see how much protein I need to add into to my lunch to hit my daily goals It makes the day work much better. Well done on Tumbler, that sounds like a great project for the year to keep up positivity

Curvy I struggle to hit 10,000 per day! I live in a large town (56,000 people) though and everything is just so close together. My friends all live out of town into the country with a 25 minute drive through the fields and motorway (highway). I am looking for a new pair of workout shoes for xmas, so hopefully come the spring time I will be able to take really long walks to the hills (then have someone come pick me up before I pass out)

Girlies Well Done on the loss's, its all about taking a deep breath, picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, and starting all over again Glad to see that there are some good results showing

Whooohoooo! Congratulations everyone! Amazing that we are all losing weight during the Holidays!

Fitbit steps Saturday 16,279, Sunday 19,041. My job is always very stressful, but this weekend, I had a difficult time not flying off the handle into a black, screaming rage. I was so edgy and irritable and felt as if I was on the verge of losing control. I thought only anabolic steroids caused "roid rage", but when I looked up side effects of Medrol this morning: aggression, agitation, irritability, etc. Wow. It was a relief to know I'm not losing my mind. I was up a pound this morning, but I drank a quart of V8 juice yesterday, so I think it may be partly water retention due to the sodium.

Keep up the good work and I'll be cheering the loudest as you each enter the 190's!

I made my water (100oz), steps (11,600) , and calories (1600) goals for today!

Now I just need to keep telling myself food is not bad, eating is not wrong, and hunger is not a physical defect. Food is fuel. Eating is recharging. Hunger is your "low fuel" light.

I go through these periods where I feel shame for eating, and refuse to eat in front of anyone - including my husband - and then stuff my face full of all the awful things I can find in private. I was feeling like this earlier when I was eating the donut I was so excited to eat (I exercised, so I feel like I earned it!) and managed to still keep my calories reasonable. But I was very aware that, while everyone else was eating the donuts, too, they were also watching me... not because I was eating, but because I was sharing the donut with my kiddo. Logically I know they were watching the adorableness of a 1 year old wanting bites of donut, but there's that little part of my brain telling me they were watching me eat and judging my fat self for eating such junk. *Sigh* Already I'm getting in my own way!

Mandy. I understand how it feels to be so self conscious. Of course, when people are watching ME it's usually because I'm making a spectacle of myself by compulsively cramming an entire cupcake into my mouth. Once someone at Walmart asked me if this caramel corn I was eating was good, and I thought he was truly interested, so I began to tell him how fantastic it was. My husband told me, "April, he was asking because you were shoveling it in by the handful and not coming up for air!" LOL! I try to just laugh at myself. It's good that you have the insight to know they were just really observing the sweet interaction between you and your little one. We are our own worst critics!

Another pound down! And that's with a pasta meal last night.

I'm on track for hitting my goals today, and should make it unless I end up with a binge fest this evening.

I *will* lose at least 10 pounds this month. I am not taking no for an answer!

Also, adorable baby picture just because.
