Cakegirl, I bought Chris Powell's book too, but I haven't used it yet. I've only skimmed it, but wasn't too sure what exactly to eat. I'll be interested to see what it does for you.

Kukkie, you'll be moving forward really well before too long.

Molly, great job on the walking/jogging in the mornings.

love2b150, you stayed low in calories, that a plus.

I am powerful, sorry you are not feeling well.

Martine, enjoy your day off.

akelly, maybe that extra daylike will allow us to walk after work. Still too much ice and snow on the ground right now for me in the dark.

Whoot Whoot, I finally captured that elusive carrot. Today I was down 3 pounds. The jawbone really made me track what I ate this week, and I didn't want to see myself go over the 1230 calorie limit. Now I'm at 21 pounds lost since Jan 3rd. I hope my motivation stays up.

TGIF. I have only 4 more Journal Entries to make today before noon, and then my close will basically be over. Looking forward to the weekend.

Have a great Friday everyone. I'll check in tomorrow.

cakegirl I hope that you find success with the carb cycling this month.

Molly your right about the jogging and hips. That jarring motion is killer for we curvy goddesses. Try an elliptical. You'll get the cardio of the run without the hip pain while you get your body fit enough for street joggin.

Martine yay for the workout. It does a body good.

I'm the goddesswooohoooo! On the weight loss and earning another carrot and for being consistent in you walking and cal count for so many days in a row. Total pat on the back

Didn't hit 10,000 steps yesterday, but I still did well. I grabbed the masking tape, used it to put a line on the floor, put the baby in her bouncer and enjoyed some balloon volleyball with the kids. Got my heart rate up and had a blast. Stupid head cold is movin to my chest but I'm not giving into it yet.

3/5/14- 8,500 steps and about 40 min in the pool calories below 1500

Thank you, and the balloon volleyball is always a fun one.

Gave in to the sick and hit the sack early. Glad I did, feel a little better today. A little nervous about not getting more physical activity since tomorrow is weigh in. Gonna try harder to be active today. Looking at the week I think there is a good chance of going down. We shall see.

Well, it's Sunday, and time to buckle down. Friday and Saturday I was not doing as well as other days. Last night we went to red robin, and my win was to get my sandwich without mayonnaise. I still ate the fries and ranch, and had two of the small size beers. I'm going to take the dog for a walk today.

Winding down a nice, spring-like weekend and gearing up to head back to the Chicago cold for the week. Hoping spring appears up there sooner rather than later! Going to really get in gear this week. Grocery shopping, getting plenty of rest, and not over-indulging in the night time sweets. Probably won't attempt the treadmill unless my cough is fully gone - don't want to go backwards with the bronchitis!

Have a great week everyone!

I am happy to say that I was 100% on plan in regards to eating this past week and that I worked out twice, which for me was a major win, but kinda sad to report no loss. Oh well...

Good morning,
Hope you had a good weekend I will read posts and catch up later.

Went hiking yesterday with the family and did 2 1/2 miles, last time we only did 2 miles. Then went to Panda Palace for lunch. Great choice-- lots of fresh veggies and fruit. If that is what I would eat. But oh no- I can't control myself. Good grief.

If I could just stay on clean foods I would do so much better. I am finding it difficult to be very disciplined at this point in my life.

Lunch packed. Have a healthy day, everyone!
Thanks,
~Molly

Hey everyone!

Really off-track weekend over here. Seriously off-track. We had a wedding on Saturday; I've told many of you before about the perils of eating at an Indian wedding. Late dinner, heavy good, but oh sooo delicious. Sunday, we went out to do some errands and shopping, full intentions to come home and make lunch, but we took longer than planned so ate out. Then dinner at MIL's last night, never a healthy option. The good news is that during Peanut's nap yesterday, I spent a good couple of hours cooking dinners for the week. The bad news is that I was sooo tired last night that I forgot to do something for lunch, so I'll have to pick something up today. All of that said, I'm in a better frame of mind than I have been for a long while. It'll be okay. I know that. Just one day at a time.

Back later for personals.

Hang in there Martine I am sure you will get your whoosh soon! Sorry akelly I don't envy you going up to the cold brrrr...Spring is on it's way so hopefully it won't be too bad. Thanks I am powerfull! it looks like you are doing pretty great too! I know how you feel Mollysmojo over the weekend I went to the grocery store with great intentions and bought lots of delicious healthy treats but when I got home and planned movie night with the kids, I sent my husband back to the store for "bad" treats and indulged uncontrollably...paying for it with my numbers yesterday and today, if only I could control those impulses a bit better! kukkie, it's difficult to stay on plan when everyone around us is not on our plan. I know for me I had to clean my entire house of the offending foods and put the whole family on a healthy eating plan so that I wouldn't have the option to grab from their stash when I was feeling peckish and it's much more difficult when we are out of our comfort zone in social situations, like weddings, and there aren't many healthy choices. It's good that you didn't let it bring you down and are in the positive thinking mode!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I think we all struggle from time to time and over-indulge in foods we know we shouldn't eat. For me it's potato chips and that is why I have asked my SO not to buy any, even if I ask for them. But one day of delicious indian food or one night of movie snacks should not hold any of us back from our goal.

Currently doing some housecleaning on a day off and planning a workout later on. Have a nice day everyone!
