Can you access 3FC blogs from mobile apps??

I don't even know where exactly to ask this question...
i am bummed cause I downloaded a wordpress app, and thought I could just connect to my new 3FC blog (since powered by wordpress) and be able to post while mobile, but it cannot seem to connect to the blog.

Has anyone done this. Is there something I am missing?

The version of WP used to power the blogs is older, and I'm pretty sure it does not support what you are trying to do. I honestly don't recall the details, but this came up a long time ago and the answer was 'no' then, and the software version is still the same. I have been told that an upgrade is on the to-do list but I don't know when that will happen.

I'm mobile a lot, so was hoping i can update my blog that way...
makes me wonder if I should switch to the external version for wordpress while not too late
