Do any of you use blogs? And are blogs incorporated as part of the message board?

I am still navigating around here trying to familiarize myself with how things work. It is certainly a HUGE place! But definitely better too huge than too little.
Its funny how when suddenly the light turns on in our heads to finally do something about our weight, we become a sponge and cannot read enough on the subject or get enough of people who are on the same wave!

Anyway, I a thrilled about having found this web site and was also wondering about starting a blog to kind of start documenting my weight loss journey - something that would keep me on track and honest.
I was wondering if any such thing is part of the site. There are so many great members here it seems - is there a way to keep track and be able to easily go to a place where there is more about the person and their journey?

If you use any external blog sites, which do you use and what works best? Any weight loss-centric blogs out there that are good for this? New to all this! So trying to learn....

Some people use the 3FC blogs. Other use external sites and then link to it in their signature. I opted to do an external one with blogger, but only because I started my blog first and then joined here.

Hmm, where are the 3FC blogs? I must be missing something - still familiarizing myself with the site (so much to it!) but have not seen the blog section

You will see under some people's avatars a link to a 3FC blog. Mine doesn't have one a I don't have a 3FC blog.

how can one set one up? I'm trying to find some sort of a link/area to set up a blog...
I figure since I'm on this site, starting one here might make sense. But could probably work with an external one also.

I think, like with a signature and with sending private messages, you have to be a member for a given number of days and made a given number of posts. (a safety net to weed out spammers). It's probably under your user cp info somewhere.

Check out the first section of the main forum and you'll find the info. I believe you can get a 3FC blog before you've been here for the 20/20 period.

I started a 3FC blog before even reading the forums lol its good to read other peoples experiences, keeps me on track

I have a blog (I talk about weight loss, clothes, bras, and exercise there). It's on blogspot because I'm vaguely familiar with that and so it was the easiest format for me to use. I keep the link to my blog in my signature so if anybody's interested they can easily find me. I like it because many times you get similar questions on here more than once so if I've written a post about the question I can link back to it (but I also always try to give a personal answer too because all questions tend to be slightly different!).

Have fun blogging! I do read some of the other member's blogs on here too and it's a great way to keep up with other's journeys.
