I have grown 2 inches....In 7 months
Listen I know that sounds crazy with me being 35 and all. But 2 years ago I went to all kinds of doctors cause I was getting shorter and shorter and no one knew why. When I got married I was 5' 6" and all of a sudden I was 5" 2". Dexa scan and all tests said my bones were just fine.
But since I have been loosing weight I have actually got 2 inches back...yea!!! I am now 5' 4" OMG!!! I was at the dr. and they measured me. I couldnt believe it.
I guess the fat had my posture outta wack and I couldnt stand the way I should. Its kinda funny all the dr's couldnt figure out that I was getting shorter cause I was getting fatter.
Any one else got taller as they lost weight??? I am so happy.

I grew 2 inches when I was 27 in the space of a couple weeks. Yeah, seriously. There was never any explanation. 25 years later and I'm still that height.

OK, I gotta admit, that's a first for me! I've heard (and experienced) shrinking foot sizes but I don't think I've added even a centimeter to my height!
Although, I did go to the doctor awhile back and a trainee took my height, weight, etc. and he said I was 5 feet 9 inches. I was partly confused (how did I grow 2 inches????) and partly excited (OMG! I can raise my BMI level!) but sadly, he was just off on his measuring (I found this out when I had someone else take my height). I'm still 5 feet 7 inches.

Oh, I really, really hope there's no added height here. I don't dislike where I am now, but it's enough. LOL

I actually wish I were shorter!
I'm barely shorter than my fiancé and
a growth spurt is the last thing I need.

It's common to (re)gain height when you lose weight! Being obese puts a lot of pressure on the skeleton. It's the same reason as why people are taller in the morning.

Ok, how many of you just ran for your tape measurer? I did, I did!!
I am taller!!! I've always "claimed" 5'4" even though I was really about 5'3" and a half, but now I am legitimately 5'4" and a little bit!! I've gained about a half inch!
My BMI and I will take it! Oh yes we will!

How funny! I haven't been feeling taller lately...
I always thought I was 5'7" and 3/4 but the last time I was at the Dr's office they said 5'8"... but that was before my weight loss....

Ok this is crazy. When I was in my late teens I was always 5 ft 8, then I noticed at the drs the last few times they would call be 5 ft 7 3/4 and I would wonder how I lost the 1/4 in. I just measured myself and I am 5 ft 8 1/4...and I do not feel like a fraud using 5 ft 8 for the BMI anymore!

It's official! I have grown almost a whole inch! My school's nurse measured me this morning. She was shocked! It was so funny! I am now just a hair off 5'4" AND A HALF! That's up from 5'3.5", though I always claimed 5'4". I changed my ticker to claim that half inch for the sake of BMI. It's the little things, you know!
I'm stoked!

Wow. I am hoping I can get back to 5'7 then
When I was in my late teens the dr said I was 5'7, and I also got that number in my 20s. So I thought I WAS 5'7 but last year I measured and was just UNDER 5'6!!! WTH. I wondered if it was weight related (compressing the spine or something) or age related but I will totally keep an eye on my height now
