Positive Thinking

  • I got these positive mantras from my weight loss therapist and I thought they might help someone else.

    1. I have no limitations except those I choose to place upon myself.

    2. I am in complete control of myself, my body and what I put into it.

    3. Success is making progress, failure is giving up.

  • I love all of those, particularly #3. Thanks for posting them.
  • One general affirmation that I got from a running book is "better and better every day in every way". I've been trying to repeat that one alot.
  • One affirmation I like is: "I feel light and joyful".
  • I like "never surrender." sometimes improvement and forward movement can feel excruciatingly slow, but after a while it all adds up, believe me!
  • I really like #3--it seems so often that if I don't get HUGE success, then I feel like it doesn't count (not just in weight loss, but in everything).

    But it's not true, as long as I'm taking the right steps, I'm on the way to success, which in itself is successful!
