I have vivid memories of searching for XL-sized rubber gloves when I was in school and doing a rotation at a SNF. Whenever I would find a box of XL gloves I'd load my pockets, and generally always walked around with pens, surgical tape, a gait belt, and 2-3 pairs of gloves in my trouser pockets. This was about 18 months (and 50 pounds) ago.
So I had to go buy a box of gloves recently, and I naturally grabbed a box of XL. I Got them back, opened them up...and they're WAAAAAAY too big! I can pull one on, wiggle my fingers a bit, and have it FALL off!!
Large size are a bit loose but they'll stay on, and I can function (the fingers are a little short, and that part isn't going to change I hope!
) in size Medium! Color me shocked!
I've gone from a size 24 to an 18 in trousers, and from XXL/22-24 to L/14-16 in shirts. But I certainly never expected such a dramatic change in my rubber glove size!
So my question is this: what has changed for you that you NEVER expected to change? What has caught you by surprise?
