Smile An attitude of gratitude - week of March 17 - March 22

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems that no matter where we are in the journey of life... if our food and life are in a good place OR if our food and life are not in the best place... It always helps to show gratitude. There's always something to be grateful for.

Got five? Want to share?

Please feel free to share daily or weekly or whenever you like.

I'll start:

I am grateful for:

- willingness to try

- that I found meditation - often it's listening to meditation tapes. Never in my life I have found such a good tool to help me thru stress or help to smooth out the "jagged edges" that life sometimes throws my way.

- that my son and DIL are looking for their "starter house" - I am so thrilled and excited for them

- my sweet hubby - he is a wonderful man (even though he swears like a sailor)

- friends, family, fsf, internet friends and connections

Three times last week, I walked 5 miles through Central Park. In 2006, I walked this route almost every day that I was in NYC, and I really enjoyed the daily dose of both human diversity and the wonder of nature as the seasons changed in the park. When I restarted my fitness plan in January, I was just too out-of-shape for the distance and some of the hills, so I started out with 3 miles along the border of the park. I am amazed by and very grateful for the resiliency of our bodies - after 18 months of abuse, just 6 weeks of good treatment and my body is again fit enough to allow me the pleasure of that walk.
