I joined 3FC a year ago and thought by signing up and saying i wanted to lose weight, that would be enough LOL I didn't actually "get it together" til August, so I'm not technically at my anniversary yet -- I hope i can hit 75 like you have! yay!
congratulations on how far you have come in 1 year. 77 lbs is some achievement to be proud of. You have the right attitude that your eating plan must be one you can live with rather than stay with for a few months. The eating plan that you have embarked on is one you can do for life and look at the amazing results.
Wow! My 3FC friends have done it again - boosted my morale, that is! You all are motivational even in your "congratulations" notes!! I'm telling you, this place is absolutely great, and I really do owe a lot of my success so far to the encouragement I get here.
Thank you ALL for your very, very sweet words. I very much appreciate it.
Now let's all go have a great year in 2008!! We can do it!!!
Ritzy, what a great and inspiring post. I've thought about "time just passing anyway" so many times and hearing it from your lips (ok, fingers) from one who has made the change just spurs me on all the more!
Wowww!!!!!!! That's terrific!!!!!!! You did an excellent thing, you committed and pushed through and look at you now!!!!!! I admire your hard work and determination. I will hit my goal in 2008 and I can't wait. I'm so happy for you.
Congrats!!! I just joined 3FC today and when I read your accomplishment it was exactly what I needed to get motivated and have the hope that I can lose a similar amount of weight in 2008. So thank you for being a great inspiration.
I had my DH take my photos before I began dieting in 2007. However, I muddled around for eight months before I took off. Then I did well for about a month and muddled around for another two months. During that second muddling I began reading about other diet plans. I thought, why not? So, I switched food plans and since then I have watched my body melt before my eyes. The plan is what I needed. I now look foward to getting the rest of this weight off by the end of this year and starting maintenance early in 2009.
Yes, this year will fly by too if we keep ourselves busy one meal at a time, one day at a time, one week at a time.
You are amazing! And I love seeing the pictures. Our girls were comparing the change in my husband and I from last Christmas to this Christmas. I'll have to figure out how to load some pics for you all to see. I lost almost 60 pounds in 2007, Phillip lost about 110 I think. We had someone tell us recently we lost pounds AND years. You look younger, too!
