I agree, when you can sit, stand and bend over. When you don't have to hold your breath to button or zip. When you can go out for the afternoon or evening or go to someones house to sit and play cards and you are comfortable in what you have on. That is the time to claim the size.

I was a 22 at 238, wore those until they were literally falling off. By then I was 200 exactly and fit nicely into an 18 when I went shopping. I dropped to a 16 at about 186. I am anxiously awaiting the next drop in size, judging from my trend it will be at approximately 172ish. So for me I am guessing it is about 12-15 pounds per size.

Thanks guys for the feedback!! I appreciate the encouragement. This is so hard for me. I don't want to fail. I am the smallest I have been in a looooooong time. I am so afraid of not taking that next step. If I can have a goal of 15 pounds...saying that I am in that size 16, it will give me that push....the motivation to keep moving forward!

Ann,
Congratulations on getting into the 16's!!! Isn't it a WONDERFUL feeling?
I remember when I could finally zip my 16w's up (couldn't breathe very well, but got 'em zipped!) ...I had lost about 18 lbs. Now I'm down 26 lbs and I can fit really comfortably in them. My muffin top has gone down to a tiny cupcake!!
Yesterday I tried on a pair of 16w shorts that i haven't worn in forever, and they are almost too big! I tried a pair of regular 16's and got em zipped, but can't do the button quite yet. Don't you wish the clothing manufacturers would get together on sizing??!!
