While you're in the peanut butter aisle at Trader Joe's, be sure to check out their macadamia and cashew nut butter - totally yummy as a treat! (but just as dangerous calorie-wise as the PB)

Oh and you can grind your own at a lot of the Whole Foods stores. Mine has like 3 machines... Peanut, Cashew... forgot the other. So for those of you with control issues you can just buy a tiny bit and it has no additives!

I checked the website and there is one 3 hours away from me. I started to get some PB this morning with toast and a banan (love that) but it had 16g of fat.

Would anyone be willing to send me a jar by mail if I paypal the money??? Thanks!!!

I just looked up the website and you can purchase it online in four-packs. Personally, I like the peanut butter I grind myself at Whole Foods, though.

Anyway, you can order online at:

ok. I'll look at the website and find one to check out when we're traveling. I love Whole Foods and Wild Oats because they're more about quality of food than quantity of food. It feels like a treat just to walk around Whole Foods. And I love all the choices!

Now - peanut butter - I eat it at least three times a week on toast for breakfast. It's a satisfying food for me, and the nut butters are the good kinds of fat, so it works both ways. I do measure my tablespoon (it's so easy to underestimate the serving size), and after I spread it on my toast, I suck the spoon dry. :-)

Two words about Better 'n Peanut Butter:

It ain't.

Nothing beats the real thing, IMO!

I wish we had a Trader Joe's around here!

Regarding peanut butter, I love my 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter on celery. Yep, the calories are high in the stuff, but I plan for this and its so very very worth it! Yum Yum.

I'm not a big fan of Better Than Peanut Butter, but I do like PB2, the powdered peanut butter that you reconstitute (or use in smoothies and other recipes). Since it is peanuts, it's definitely got a peanut taste. I wish I were like those of you who can eat 1 Tbl. of real peanut butter, but I've come to accept the fact that I can't so the PB2 gives me that peanut taste I like without the calories.

Did any of you guys ever try a peanut butter sauce? I use peanut butter in some stews and in some stir fries. Usually one tablespoon will give enough flavour for 4-8 servings of whatever it is I'm cooking.

I do the all-natural organic peanut butter and actually love it more than the Jif that we used to use! Even my kids like it (as long as it is with jelly). I love peanut butter, and I have cut down on my usage. Unfortunately, like "light" mayonnaise, I just can't give up the real thing when it comes to PB. So, I go by the philosophy "all in moderation."

I didn't like Better Than Peanut Butter, it was way to sweet and I ended up throwing out the nearly full jar. Now I choose all natural peanut butter and can testify that you CAN lose weight and still eat peanut butter, I have it for breakfast nearly every day on a whole wheat english muffin, on my banana, in my oatmeal, whatever!

Oh yes! My Hubby makes a Southbeach recipe for steak kabobs with a peanut butter and ginger dipping sauce. I absolutely love this one....hmmm ...I really need to ask Hubby to add this to his next menu.

Rhonda, would you post the recipe for that dipping sauce? It sounds perfectly heavenly.
