Wine antioxidants are also known as polyphenols. Polyphenols are the main agents that promote the production of good cholesterols in the blood. Another type of antioxidant found in grape skins is resveratrol. Aside from preventing blood clot formations in the arteries, resveratrol is also said to enhance formation of nerve cells in the brain, and it is a good agent in cancer prevention.
