The Best Cellulite Blasting Exercises

They say that cellulite is 70 percent diet and lifestyle and only 30 percent genetic. The good news: you can blast your cellulite away with exercise, or at least minimize its appearance. It’s time to try the following exercise programs to get rid of your cellulite:

Plyometrics

Plyometrics are one of the best types of exercise you can do, hands down. It’s an amazing cardio routine, and it shreds your leg muscles.

It’s a classic leg workout, but it incorporates jumping motions. For example, do a standard squat, but as you come back up, jump high into the air. You get explosive power in your muscles, which have to strain both going down and coming back up. You’ll find that it’s very easy to burn fat with plyo workouts, and you’ll get your legs tough and slim in no time.

The Firm-Style Exercise Videos

The Firm is one of those classic exercise videos that have been around for decades, but it’s still one of the best. The workouts focus on aerobics (your lungs and heart), but they also target the legs and core (the place where most of your cellulite hangs out). Basically, you want to mix up cardio work with hardcore muscle work, and you’ll find that the Firm and other videos like it are surprisingly effective at getting rid of your cellulite.

Strength Training

The best way to get rid of cellulite is to burn away the fat that has accumulated beneath your skin. The best way to do that is to build muscle instead. Strength training at the gym is one of the simplest types of exercise you can do, but it’s also one of the best. You can work out every muscle in your body, burning fat from all over your frame. Finish your workout off with a good cardio session, and you can burn a lot of fat and calories in an hour. It’s hard to push yourself properly without a good trainer, but working with a pro will help you achieve your goals and get rid of all that cellulite!

Stair Climbing

You see this in movies and TV shows all the time, particularly when it shows athletes training. They run up and down the steps of their local gym or stadium, sweating and panting hard. The reason this exercise is so good for your cellulite is that it’s both a grueling leg workout and a great cardio session. Even if you jog up and down the stairs, you’re guaranteed to feel it in no time. Stair climbing is excellent for your thighs, your hamstrings and your glutes, and the cardio side of the workout will target the excess fat. Get off the StairMaster and start climbing stairs for amazing cellulite-blasting results.

Martial Arts

Think of all the kicking and jumping that you do as a martial artist, and you can see the benefits of this type of exercise. While there’s not as much concentrated focus on your legs, the fact that you’re always moving, lifting your legs and training your core means that you’ll develop excellent strength and stamina.

Martial arts aren’t as good a workout as the others listed above, but it’s a fun alternative for those who want to get in shape and burn cellulite the fun way.

Climbing

Think hill sprints, hill walking, mountain climbing, hiking or anything that involves a lot of walking uphill. As you walk upwards, most of the focus is on your thighs, your glutes and the back of your legs. You’ll find that doing any sort of climbing is excellent for your body, and can get rid of cellulite quickly.
