Is Sea Salt Healthy?

Sea salt is produced naturally from sea water. The water is channeled into large ponds where it is then allowed to evaporate. As the water evaporates, it leaves behind a residue what we call sea salt. Some salt is sold as is in its unrefined state, while other salts are refined and additives are added. The unrefined sea salts will have more color; depending on where it is produced, it will be a shade of gray, pink or a sandy color.

Healthy Uses

Unrefined sea salt can be used in many different ways in order to obtain all the benefits of it. The most popular use is to use it in your cooking. Because it comes in a fine grain, it can also be used in your baking and as a table salt.

Sea salt can also be used to do a colon cleanse. Simply combine 2 tsp. of salt to 1 quart of warm water and drink on an empty stomach in the morning. Within 30 minutes to 2 hours, your bowels will begin to eliminate the toxic buildup. Sea salt is also great for taking baths, as it helps to draw the toxins to the surface of the skin and removes them from the body. It helps to clear up and soften the skin, as well as soothe tired aching muscles.

Combine 3 tbsp. unrefined sea salt with 1 gallon of water, and water your fruits and vegetables. The plants will absorb the minerals allowing you to grow mineral rich fruits and vegetables.
