This is my very first post!!!

  • Like the title says, this is my very first post on this forum!

    I've been lurking for a while trying to decide where i would fit in best and i'm thinking this is it!!!

    I'm a 27 year old canadian girl (hence my username ), mom to a wonderful 7 month old baby boy and i am overweight (i don't even know how much overweight and i really don't want to think about that). right now my goal is to lose 50 pounds by my birthday (september 30th). my plan is to do weight watchers at home. i haven't signed up for it and probably won't due to financial restrictions but i have all the information and with your guys wonderful help I KNOW I WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!!

  • I know you will love it here. It really is a great place!! I am also doing weight watchers at home. I do not have the $$ to sign up for it either. I have been on WW since last June, and I love it!! It is the only diet that has ever worked for me. with your weight loss!!!

    i am tracking everything i eat right now and exercising (i recently got a stability ball and have been using that, my butt is soooooo sore right now ).

    so where do i start? is there a food check-in thread here? or only a weigh-in thread?

    I'm pretty new but love these boards. I'm planning on sticking around till I get this done. and then stick around for support. This is a great place for help and support. Plan on posting often.
  • Hi Ladies. I am currently attending the Weight Watchers meeting at work. I hope to do it on my own after the 10 weeks are up. It can get really expensive. How do you ladies stay motivated when you know you aren't being weight weekly. If I know that I am being weighed, I seem to be more careful. Any feedback ladies!
  • Fost40....most all of us have a weekly weigh in that we post here on 3FC. Whether is be our own scales, a friends, the shopping market, or a drs office....we weigh in mostly once a week. This kindof takes the place of the "meetings" for a lot of us. I know that I use it for that reason. I have never been to a WW meeting but follow at home with the info. Whether following Flex or Core.....most of us keep a journal of our food intake and such just as everyone does when going to the meetings. I know I cant afford the meetings so I use here and found one of the greatest support systems EVER. I love it here (and sporatically (sp?) disappear only to reappear a little later. But that is the greatest thing about it here..you are ALWAYS welcomed with open arms!
