Anyone doing the "Old" program?

I joined Weight Watchers a couple of years ago...before flex/core. I did really well on it and nothing else has really done the trick! I had made the switch over to flex/core, but it just wasn't the same.

Needless to say, I'm back on the wagon and wondering if there is anyone else out there who's on the 'old program'??

:D

Thanks!
~T

how old? wp? 123? ff? exchange?

paulzgrrl 09-30-2005 11:10 AM

I forget now...it was the one right before the current program....winning points maybe?

andreaphilip3 09-30-2005 02:14 PM

yea the one prior to flex was winning points which actually isnt very different from flex... in fact, winning points is actually a few points less.
im on core

paulzgrrl 09-30-2005 03:00 PM

yes, it does mean less points...and that's the point!

lmao...sorry!

;)

I'm a 6' woman, and find that I would use the higher end of the spectrum to get enough nourishment. Meh, who am I kidding...I just never really got into the groove of the flex system. I liked being able to go the high-end and adding points with activity. Flex was just a lisence to binge.

Canadian Chick on old WW

I also joined the program a few years ago and I'm back on the wagon myself doing it from home.I'm more then willing to start again and have lost 12.2lbs since the begining of Sept. Never looked into Flex so I'm no help there but I to like the old program it works for me. I need to lose about 20lbs to start with and will look at things again then. I'm also from Ontario, Kingston that is. Where abouts are you??

:cb: Hiya!
I'm in Kitchener, so we're practically neighbours! hehe...well, in the land of the big 'ol internet, I think that's true! Nice to meet you.
When I did Winning Points I lost over 35 pounds, but I found that it was expensive to keep up so I decided to try it at home. Well, needless to say I found it hard to stay on track: I needed to have the accountability. So I joined again, just in time for FlexPoints. I didn't like it...couldn't stay on track...like I said before, with the Flex, I would binge. So I quit again.
I'm getting married next year so I need to be fit and shapely for my wedding. So I'm working out and doing WP. I'm not losing as easily this time - I've been on the fierce exercising binge. Since I've quit smoking earlier this year, I'm loving the capacity I've found for cardio. Wow. I go to a gym that encorporates weight-training to music...totally addictive.

:workout:

I am for now. I am journaling on paper at home until I can join online. I guess then I will be doing flex plan though.

I joined the Online program before FlexPoints and I still pretty much stick to it/mix it up with Flex points. I would try to stick to 22 points and didn't freak if I went over, but I didn't bank points. I'm currently doing the wendie plan, so its kind of moot! :D

I may be doing the "old plan" but I've got the stuff for the flex plan. I never use my flex points or activity points. It, too, makes it too easy to overeat. I have found this site to be what I need for accountability as well as a co-worker that keeps me in close check! The biggest change I have noticed personally is that I read labels and make my choices on whether the points/fats/kcals are worth it and ....choke, sputter....I'm loving the exercise!!!
Welcome.
Lynne
