Carla - Ahhh, what I would do for the glorious 70's. We've been having a minor heat wave with temps in the 90's for the last 2 days - today is supposed to be around the same but cooling off for the weekend. I'm glad to hear you are holding your own with the food. It sounds like you are starting to get into a good place with the walks. Let me know how the strength training goes!
Well, yesterday started off well - I ate low points for breakfast and lunch, got out for a walk, did a back, biceps and abs tape and did a bit on the slide/bike after work. I was pretty crampy in the evening and I made a mistake with the air conditioning - I didn't turn it on during the day because my home office is in the basement which was nice and cool. We ate dinner on the screened in porch which, with a fan was comfortable. The rest of the house was warm though and I think it got me feeling pretty cranky with the heat and the cramps. Well, at least that's what I'm going to blame for my dive into a bit of chocolate. I ended the day shaving 1.5 points off my deficit (now at 4 points) - the one good thing was I was going to be back for one last hit before bed but stopped myself. Well, small steps. My sneak peak this morning (with TOM and strength training yesterday) was frightening. We're having my family over tomorrow for my mom's birthday - I'm seriously considering skipping my meeting - I just think seeing a big gain because of TOM would get me more discouraged and I could use the time in the morning for preparations. I know I should go - there's a lot of truth to the saying that if you are having a bad week, you need WW and if you are having a good week, WW needs you. The menu for tomorrow is pretty low point and I'll be sure there are a lot of raw veggies for munching. We are getting a small cake but I plan on having 1/2 a piece and leftovers either go home with someone or in the garbage. Have a great Finally Friday! Judy |

Hi Judy -
Sorry to hear you had an icky day yesterday. I hate early heat waves - heck I hate any heat wave. I hope it cools off for you soon. Don't let your sneak peek get you down - the effects of strength training should be gone by tomorrow. If having a bad weigh in tomorrow will demoralize you rather than pump you up, then perhaps staying home should be an option. However, I'm beginning to think I should have faced the scale and whatever it told me this past Monday. I know when I was going to meetings and I started skipping meetings it was the beginning of the end for me and I don't want not getting on the scale to have the same effect. So I guess what I'm saying is I regret not getting on the scale on Monday and I think you should go to your meeting. I had a terrible food day yesterday. The stress finally got to me. I have got to find more productive ways to deal with it. Besides eating, I've broken out in a rash and am just generally a mess. Perhaps beginning an exercise routine will help. I plan on doing my weight workout tonight and will get some walking in over the weekend. Wishing everyone a great weekend. Carla |
