Hi all.

Judy, I hope you're enjoying the beach and Karen I hope you had a great weekend alone with Mike.

I had an ok weekend. We went to the music park on Saturday and got Chinese food, so that pretty much took care of all my flex points, and probably then some. But, I was right back on track yesterday and even ate three points below my target. I read Jocelyn's post re: the new ww program and am relieved that flex points is still hanging around. The core program sounds good to have in reserve for those times when counting points just gets to be a drag. It's good that we'll be able to switch back and forth.

It's hotter than heck here today, so Ana and I will be going to the pool this afternoon. I always try to get some leg kicks, etc. in when I'm in the pool. And now, back to cleaning...

Have a good one.

Carla

Hi...

We did have a great weekend away, Carla, thankx! We got back far too late to cook or do anyform of grocery shopping last night, so we've been NOP, but have been trying to be moderate. KFC is evil stuff. Glad to hear you had an okay weekend...and Judy, I hope you're enjoying the beach.

I haven't found my eyeglasses since we arrived home, and my contacts are out for the night...I must go as I'm squinting horribly and can't see a damn thing. More tomorrow when I discard the white care!

Karen - I'm glad to hear that you had a good weekend! You're absolutely right - KFC is evil - delicious but evil. Hope you find your eyeglasses!

I'm reporting a 4.4 loss - all that water finally gone. Now to get back to the 240s. I seem to be coming down with a summer cold, so with any luck, I'll lose my appetite.

Have a great day.

Carla, congrats on a great loss! I hope the cold doesn't morph into anything serious!

Nothing much going on here. Food is okay, water okay, exercise nonexistant.

Have a good one,
Karen

Karen - The cold seems to be going away. Maybe I'm developing allergies in my old age. Exercise is non-existent for me too. I think I'm going to either join the park district fitness center or sign up for some fitness classes there. Classes are probably the better way to go. I can avoid the gym just like I avoid the bike, the walks, etc...

The weekend is going to be hectic and full of eating opportunities. Tomorrow we're meeting BIL, SIL and MIL for lunch. BIL and SIL just got back from a trip to South Korea (SIL's birthplace) and are going to bring there pics. Sunday it's dinner at my Mom's. And since Sunday is my birthday - 45, believe it or not - cake will be involved. Chocolate cake and buttercream frosting. So, it's going to be an iffy one, but I'll do the best I can. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of hiking on vacation, so I can redeem myself.

Have a great day and a terrific weekend.

hello, im new to this site. and I am also doing the weight watchers diet. i love the flex points plan too. i started about a couple of weeks ago and i have lost about 10 pounds but im sure most of that was just water because i havent had a chance to start exercising yet. but i havent really been writing down what i eat but i do know that journaling does make a difference in if you lose weight or not because if you arent aware of what you are eating and writing it down you tend to go over your points and if you do it for several days in a row you start gaining weight back. so i guess i really do need to write things down and measure things too and not just guess.

Cat - Welcome and congrats on a great loss so far! You're off to a great start. You're correct, measuring and journaling are very important. We're usually a bit quiet on this thread over the weekend and we're generally more lively than we have been this week. Feel free to join us to tomorrow on our new thread for the week.
