Judy - Sounds like the interview went really well. I'm sure it will be a big relief to have things settled. Enjoy your day off...I have to work until noon.
Doxie - Guess we will just have to use those Monday weigh-ins to keep us in line over the holiday weekend. Hope the weather clears up for you soon. We had several days of stormy weather, but today was bright and sunny. I did a little better with the snacking today, although Laura just brought me the rest of her McFlurry to finish. I should have let Darrell finish it, but.... I did get in a walk this evening. Have a great Easter everybody. Pat |
Hi everyone -
It's been a busy few days and I just haven't had the chance to get on-line and post. Pat's right - it's hard to catch up after a few days so please excuse my brevity. Holly - Drinks on the deck would be tempting to me too. Judy - Congrats on the maintain. Great job handling the stress without snacking. Glad to hear your meeting with your new boss went so well. I knew my new boss already but met with him the other day for the first time since reporting to him. He's fine, we're fine, but it's still sketchy what I'll be doing after the conversion. But, I'm not worrying about it. Jan - I must find the Go Lean crunch. I'm sure you'll do fine on Easter. Jenny and Lois - Welcome - it's great to have you on board. Doxie - Congrats on the loss! Pat - Glad to hear the snacking is getting better for you. This weeks been about the same as last week. I'm hoping for a maintain on Monday. Since today is a day of fasting, maybe I can undo some damage. I'm going over to the bio thread now to read it. Have a great weekend and a great holiday and I'll talk to you more next week. Carla |
Hi guys! It is Sat. AM and I am sneaking about the house hoping my son will keep sleeping so I can catch up on posts! Sorry I've been so inactive these last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, not keeping WW my priority has been catching up with me. Although I haven't gone totally crazy with the food, I've been over my pts, had a few days of not journaling and haven't exercised once this week (so far!). The good news is it looks like I lost 1 lb. I can't be sure because I don't know how close my home scale is to the WW scale. I'll post the actual news Tues (ugh - after having consumed an Easter dinner!).
Cece - Good for you on maintaining. Good luck with the challenges -- I hear you on Easter! Thankfully, my Dad has been very into healthy eating, and so there isn't anything on the holiday menu that can't be easily worked into WW. Hmmm -- the challenge would be *wanting* to count pts during a holiday dinner. My thought is that I should be sensible and leave WW at home...but is that a cop out? Permission to overeat? Judy - A maintain during TOM will definately show up as a loss next week. Just don't let the dissappointment of the maintain (when you had worked so hard this week) send you into a downword spiral for next week. You can do this! Good job handling the holiday dinner. I do know what you mean about doing well at the event (when not counting pts), but then losing it later that night. That is one reason I hesitate to not count pts at Easter. Hmmm - what is the concensus (sp?) on this issue guys? I was sorry to read about how stressed you are with work. (((Judy))) Keep pumping that stress out with all that great exercise you do, and hang in there :-) Jenny - Welcome! What is your Weight Watcher goal? How long have you been OP? I look forward to talking with you :-) Jan - Way to go on the smaller pants size!! Yippee! I'm jealous that your kitchen remodel is almost done. We haven't started, and I dread how much work and mess will be involved. We are going to do it ourselves :-Z You will probably be so busy being a hostess that you won't have time to overeat on Easter! Pat - I am so jealous when I look at your numbers...you are soooo close to your goal! 2 lb loss, yeah! Keep up the great work; you are an inspiration. Doxie - bad luck with the Mon weigh in! Keep that water going Sun :-) BTW - I went dress shopping (for the North Carolina wedding in 2 wks) and had no luck finding a dress I liked, but I did find that my usual size 16 was too big!! I tried on a pair of capri pants, and am set on being thin enough to wear them over the summer. I may break down and buy a pair now for the trip. I don't want to buy a lot of clothes when I hope to not be a size 14 for very long, but it sure feels nice to be surprised by fitting in a smaller size :-) Have a great holiday weekend! Holly |
