Between the two, I prefer Chlorine. There's also purification tablets, which is most convenient. No bottle, no liquid = no spilling. They're more expensive though.iwaterpurification.com/best-water-purification-tablets
Some people can have an allergic reaction to iodine and we are all exposed to chlorine in our drinking water so it is a pretty safe bet. Be sure you follow the directions on "set time" . It does flavor the water. I also like the purification straws if the water is not crystal clear but they are not quite as effective as the chlorine.
