I am starting (again!) too... I want to get back to my "normal," pre-3-babies weight first (150-155). After that I'll reevaluate. I just want to get back there, even though I know I should really lose 20 lbs after that, too! WW has worked for me before (especially the first time, when I actually went to meetings - I lost 45 lbs over 9 months!) and I know it can again, but I have to improve my willpower. It is pretty much shot these days. I've been looking through all our recent pictures though, and hopefully that's all the motivation I need right now!

How are you doing, beliter? Are you staying focused?

I am trying really hard to. I have not quite hit my points the last few days (aiming for 25, and it's been like 28, 33, and today's already going to be a little over) but I guess that's what I'll be using my Flex Points on...

I'm doing the weight watchers online program with points plus...I'm a weight watchers vetran and it usually works for about 6 weeks before I give up. This time around, since fruits and veggies are free (for the most part), I've stuck with it for 8 weeks and lost 23lbs to date. I'm hoping that success breeds success since I have about 120lbs more to go to my ultimate goal. Baby steps, I realize. My short term goals are to be under 250 by a destination wedding in FL on 5/14 and into the 240s by 6/11-another wedding that i'm in. Here's hoping!

Count me in! I am starting up from home by myself. I did it myself before and lost 20 lbs. I can't even remember why I stopped. So, here goes. I will start tomorrow.

I am going to use the old points system for now because it is what I know. I don't know much about points plus but when when I my favorite 1pt items was 2pts, I figured I would forget about the new system and stick with what has worked for others for decades.

I used a website to calculate my points...I get 29.

Hope you can all use another buddy!

Well,I haven't started yet cuz of the situations
with the weather here. As you may or may not
have heard of all the tornados here in Al,we've had no
power since Wed. when the storms started. We're all o.k.,
it was really scary. But, I'm going to try to start Mon.

Is the 29 with the new or old plan? You can't
figure your points on the new plan & do the old
way,does't work out right.
The more buddies the better!

Jwillits-my secret so far has been fruits, veggies and water. I'm a nursing mom, so i try to stick to the points that I would have if I wasn't nursing (instead of the extra 20 or so i get for nursing) which i'm sure helps. But saying that, even with that reduced number of points, I'm not starving and feel full most of the time. I don't know if you're already doing the fruits/veggies/water yet, but if you're not, give it a try....that's usually the secret to dieting success, as we all realize!

Beliter, I'm so sorry that you're involved in that! I'm glad you're okay, and it's pretty understandable that you haven't started working on it yet. My goodness!

If I get my veggies and fruits in, I do pretty well. If I don't, I feel snacky and hungrier and usually fail. Now if I could just remember that truth day to day...

I hope you can use another person on this thread. I too do the w/w from home. I found all my information online and use the 'old' flex way & love it! I have lost 38 pounds in 17 weeks.
