although I try to avoid it.......

Hi. Mine is a digital scale that calibrates to the nearest half a pound. I have been happy with it so far, although from reading other posts some scales calibrate to a fraction of a pound. Take a look the next time you are at the hardware store. I was quite surprized when I had to go looking last year. ....there is alot to chose from. Good luck.

Hi......I was lucky enough to find one at a yard sale.....like the kind a doctor's office has......very acurate. Before that I used a regular scale.

Scale

I have a Tanita scale. It is solar. It comes on after the light hits it. It is digital - just like the meetings have. They are pretty good scales - accurate. I tried all of them at Bed Bath & Beyond & Target before I got it. There certainly are some modern looking ones now.

It works better if I only get on it once a week at the same time every week.

Mine is a Health-o-Meter w/ the lithium battery and weighs in half-pound increments. Don;t remembe the model #, but it came from either WalMart or KMart, and it was in the yellow box. Reg price was around $40, but i got it on sale.

Only thing I don't like is the readout is grayish rather than red. I keep it in the kitchen, but I have to trun on the light to make sure I see it correctly. The natural sunlight is not enough.
