They actually have white whole grain options for bread in some places. Your kids will never know. Also, I've been introduced recently to the eat clean diet,(you can find websites with recipes) that have great meals you can choose from. If you can't get away from white starches for your family it may be difficult but the one option you have is to make whole grain for you and white for them. Whole grain will help you lose weight. In moderation of course. White starches on the other hand are not a friend of the waistline.

You may want to try to go to 1 meeting to get the initial paperwork and get a better idea of how the program works.

It works if you know what to do. Kids can be a problem. I have to fix different for my daughter, but I'm working in healthy options for her too.

Good luck!!!

You're starting off too negative! You CAN do it, and with planning and creativity, it will be easy!

I always do better if I plan out what I am going to eat - sometimes a whole week in advance. I keep the following things on hand for snacks: small apples, pretzels, LOTS of 95% fat free microwave popcorn, light string cheese, and sugar free pudding cups. My kids are learning to eat healthier, and I'm inspiring my cute teenage daughter (dancer, who doesn't need to lose weight AT ALL) how to make better choices and how to read labels and see how healthy something really is.

Be positive, and spend time here with lots of wonderful people. You'll do GREAT.
