Product Alert: Last night I found WW 1 point string cheese. I thought... WOW, 1 pt, this is great! So today I tried it... not so great anymore. I am not a fan of light or FF cheese to begin with.... I would rather use 2 pts and go for the real string cheese. Just a heads up! I'll find something to do with this... cut it up and put it in my eggs? :-)

I don't have time for a big post, but I'll warn you that string cheese, especially the light variety doesn't melt well. I cut it into chunks over pasta salad, but I bet you could use it over regular salad too!

Good idea! I'll throw it in my salad. Maybe with a little FF dressing it will taste better?

Hey Ladies...
Ok so I have a question. I'm having a hard time eating all my points when I'm eating really healthy! Here is an example of what I eat today and if anyone could give me pointers or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. BTW I'm supposed to eat 25 pts. Low Sugar Instant Oatmeal 2 Cottage Cheese 2 BLT- 2 slices of bread 4 3 slices of turkey bacon 1 (I promise, I checked twice) 1.5 Tbsp of Olive Oil Mayo 2 (Rounding Up) ~I cup Lettuce 3 slices of Tomato 1/2 Medium Cucumber ~12 baby Carrots 1 small handful of peanuts 2 1 slice bread 2 1 thin slice of cheese 2 3 slices of turkey meat 1 1 can of Italian tomatoes 1/2 cup FF milk 1 --------- 19 Points Hello...its 7pm and I'm full and I have 6 points left to go. I even ran for 20 mins tonight when I got home....Of course I can eat all my points and more...that's how we all ended up on 3FC's in the first place...eating more than we needed. I am always like this. If I am going to lose weight I eat so healthy that it seems like I don't get enough calories. I definitely need more protein in this diet. I can see after typing this out that I didn't have much protein. I could through in a protein shake with my breakfast, but that is only 2 extra points. Any thoughts ladies??? What do you guys eat? |
Here's what I ate today (and no making fun of my not-so-healthy-at-times diet), maybe it will help:
Vita-top Muffin 1 Pineapple 1 (I was packing my lunch and it wouldn't all fit in the container, so I had to eat some, oops) Light Mocha Frap from Starbucks 4 100 Calorie pack of Cheez-its 2 Cottage Cheese and Pineapple 3 Sugar Free Jello 0 Fiber One bar 2 4 oz extra lean hamburger 4 with pepperjack cheese 2 on a low fat/high fiber bun 1 Baked Ruffles 3 a little of my son's chip dip 1 Grapes 1 For a grand total of 25 POINTS. We had corn on the cob with dinner, but if I ate that I wanted butter on it and that wasn't in the plan, so I had the grapes instead. I'd try eating a bigger breakfast if I were you. Breakfast (although today I traded my bigger breakfast to feed a Mocha Frap craving) is a good way to get some early POINTS in and it jump starts the metabolism. I have two years of food journals, so I can give you some bigger breakfast ideas. I find (once again, not today) that I lose better when I have breakfasts that have protien to them. No idea as to why that is, but when I chart it all out (yes, I'm a geek), that seems to be a common denominator. Not sure if I helped at all, but there you have it! |
Looks like we have the opposite problem cassangelidy! I would try adding in some more protein, like salmon or chicken. Looks like you made a salad, maybe next time have it with a chicken breast or salmon. Unless that's what you used the sliced turkey meat for? Otherwise I would just have little snacks between meals, like a couple crackers and fruit. I am new to this though... so hopefully I am not giving bad advice here.

I know for me, adding in protein makes me stay more OP too. I went to see a nutritionist last year, and she said that adding in protein will prevent those cravings and crashes in the afternoon. I used to get them all the time. Now I add in small cups of yogurt (1 point) with my breakfast and lunch and I can sail thru the afternoon a lot easier than before. OK, so those extra 2 points doesn't help with your not eating enough points, but I thought I would throw it out there!! Maybe add some extra good for you oils into your diet? Those are good for you, and have point values.
