Activity Points

Does anyone use them? I am debating because I will probably go down to 26 pts because I think the scale will read at least 224 on Monday. The lower the points the more difficulty I have sticking to them. Also I plan to start exercising the following week. I will be starting the C25K plan. In the past when I ran I was so freaking hungry. I am just trying to do some pre planning. I gave my activity point thingy away but I heard its 1AP=100 calories burned. Does that sound right?

If you are looking for help calculating points for food and exercise or are looking for low point snack ideas please visit our Food and Point Issues Forum at:

I thought I had saved it but it is a formula that you use:

Your present weight x (number) x minutes= activity points.

I found it!

Light Activity (you can feel it a bit but not too stressful):
Weight x Minutes x .000232 = Activity Points

Moderate Activity (you can feel your heart rate rise a bit and lightly perspite):
Weight x Minutes x .000327 = Activity Points

High Activity (heart rate rises and you break a good sweat):
Weight x Minutes x .0008077 = Activity Points
