Points

Your points slider will work just fine, so no worries. As far as I know there is no comprehensive list of foods available online, unless it the list of core foods. Unfortunately you'll have to look up each food individually. The good news is eventually you'll just know the points values your favorite foods and become a pretty good guesstimator in the grocery store

If you do WW online, you don't get anything in the mail, so deedeedee won't have a points slider. You basically get the eTools.

And yes, you can use the eTools to look up all of your points. If you look at eTools (log in to the WW site and click "Track POINTS values") then in the bottom left of the tracking screen, you will see a place to enter calories/fat/fiber. This does the same thing the slider does and calculates the POINTS for you. The good thing about the slider is that you can put it in your bag/purse and bring it with you on vacation (if you can't bring your computer) or to the grocery store, etc.

You could also buy one of the WW kits that come with a POINTS slider and use that as well. Its really thin and the height/width of maybe a paperback book. It "slides" so you can calculate your POINTS using the calorie/fat/fiber content of the food. You might be able to find a WW kit or POINTS slider on ebay for cheap too, so you might want to look there.

Great idea, looking for a POINTS slider on ebay. Mine is in sad shape, and I didn't want to have to go to a meeting and start over to get another one.

DUH! Why didn't I think of that??

Thanks,

Ok, I will admit to being sneaky. but I got a WW calculator, it did cost a bit $40 (New Zealand) but is the best thing i have brought in many a year.It finds points values ,banks, saves, starts new weeks/days. Adds bonus points etc. Adds up how many points you eat in a day. A lot of the time I do not have to write down what I eat just use the cal. How I got it was a whole new story. At the time I was not going to the WW meetings, but I knew some one that was, Sooo, I waited for her to arrive at her meeting and she went in a brought one for me. Now and then she also gets me some of those lovely brekky bars as well. There are times in this lovely world of ours when it truly is "Not what you know, but who you know" LOL;)
