Getting Ready to Start, Please Help

Good evening this is my first post on this site. I have recently purchased the WW program from ebay as I do not have access to meetings where I live. At one time there was a group meeting but it has been over 10 years, my sister was successful with the program then so I have decided to try it on my own. I am not really sure what the difference is with the core or flex plan. Can anyone define it for me? The old WW had the core plan where you could eat from each food group in limited quantities and the second option was the fat and fiber plan. Of the new plans which one is recommened?
This is also the first time that I have joined a forum so if anyone could suggest how I can navigate through this one and the best places to get me on my path to success it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome! It usually doesn't take so long to get a response, so stick around!

The link above will take you to the explanations for the Weight Watchers plans.

There have also been several posts about the merits of each but I really like Flex because I frequently eat on the go, am a total foodie and am madly in love with a man who freaks out completely if I even suggest he go without his treats to give my willpower a boost.

Play around on the site and I bet you'll be posting like a pro in no time!

Thanks

Thanks for the direction I am really starting to understand how it will work and I am setting my start date as May 1st. This site is really helpful kudos to the moderators and thanks for the help.

i find the flex is easier for me to plan my meals during the day

and if you want something naughty, its allowed, just be prepared to spend the points on it

after awhile i know i prefer eating a lot of good food instead of eating 1/4 of a candy bar and still be starving

Could you please tell me how to include the weight loss tracker to my messages. I have created one but I am not sure how to add it.

Hi, welcome,
You will see a support in this site, i go weekly to my meetings but the support I need each day I got it here, and helps to read each story and their success, and really keeps me going...
I'm following the core plan, because you just eat from the food allowed still your satisfied, I do eat every two hours a snack and do 3 meals...
I'm felling the difference and avoiding all junk food, clean my fridge, just a healthy lifestyle...
Happy to watch that thicker moving...

WW Main Book

Since there are no meetings around here how can I go about getting the WW main book without having to subscribe online?

modkittn 04-24-2007 09:34 AM

You can try to get the At Home kit.

http://www.weightwatchers.com/plan/hom/index.aspx

You have to pay for the kit, but you don't have to pay a monthly fee for any online subscription.
